I consider myself a centrist, and know as long as we keep blaming the other side for all our problems, nothing will ever change. What you consider no big deal, the other side views as major. Be open-minded and flexible, not so ridged in your beliefs that you can't even listen to the other side.

Although I'm often labelled a "leftie" because I am in no way, shape or form a fan of Trump, but then again I was never overenthusiastic about Biden, and I consider myself just right of centre as regards political affiliations.

 

I am not what they call "woke" and I believe there are only two genders, male and female, and do not agree with teaching children about transgender "theory", and on that same subject I'm not in favour of transgender athletes competing against those born male, or female.

 

YET, any poster here who criticises the antics, nonsense and lies of Trump, is labelled as "left", even though in theory they/we are moderates.

Exactly and that's why I posted that link by an unbiased author, which shows the thinking of the left and right in may things, not only politics, and that some people are plainly blind or hero worship because one side did something they like. Example is Hitler, who millions followed until they eventually figured him out. I'm also called a lefty but I'm neutral. I would just like to see politicians come through on promises made, and actually do the things that are more important to the regular Joe in America.

If you are a farmer, you have a job for life, or until you decide to leave. Having successful farmers is a matter of national interest, not a corporate that can decide to quit what they doing. 

 

There is a few instances such as health care, social security, fire men, soldiers, etc that is a state matter, same as farmers, even farmers is individuals, they are part of the most important national interests. You can not just depend on import for everything you need.
