A Thai man's smoothie order went awry when he received a drink blended with green chicken curry instead of avocado. Thitiwat Koosakul shared the incident on Facebook, expressing disappointment with the restaurant's lack of accountability. His order, placed through the LINE Man app, included spicy grilled chicken and an avocado smoothie, both mistakenly replaced with green chicken curry.

In his post, Thitiwat detailed the experience, noting his initial thought was that a different avocado variety might account for the unusual flavor. However, after tasting it, he realized it was composed of curry ingredients, prompting him to vomit. He also mentioned a colleague confirming the odd taste after trying it themselves. Efforts to reach the restaurant by phone were unsuccessful, leading Thitiwat to visit the establishment directly.

On arrival, he encountered a man claiming the restaurant belonged to his younger brother. This individual acknowledged the mix-up, attributing it to staff error but offered neither an apology nor compensation. Thitiwat chose not to disclose the restaurant's name to avoid harming its reputation, despite the lack of resolution or acknowledgment from the owner, who has remained unresponsive.

Online reactions have been mixed, with some suggesting Thitiwat's story could be fabricated given the unlikely ingredient mix-up. Nevertheless, Thitiwat stands by his story, seeking further clarification from the restaurant. The incident has garnered significant attention online, yet the owner has yet to address the situation publicly.

Key Takeaways

  • Thitiwat Koosakul's smoothie order was mistakenly blended with green curry.
  • Despite visiting in person, the restaurant failed to offer an apology.
  • The story sparked online debate, but the restaurant owner remains silent.

Mistakes happen and this might be, yet again, an "honest" mistake. Khun Somchai had some green curry in a blender left behind from a food order before and was told by Khun Nok to prepare an avocado smoothie. Somchai went pipi or answered a phone call and then took up his job of making the smoothie.
Mistook the left-over curry sauce for the semi-finished avocado (Nok started it but was called away for something else) - et voila.

This is the little fairy tale of "hostest mistake" - 2025 edition ...... You're welcome 😉

I think it's kind of funny actually.

Perhaps a million dollar idea for somebody for a new product.

I wonder if they also make a tasty Isaan smoothie with pla raa.

A restaurant made a mistake, and even though they didn't want to fix their problem, is this really news worthy?

It's not even worthy of AN news.

I guarantee you that there are hundreds of mistakes made on orders at restaurants every day...

Is no one going to question the idea of a 'Curry Smoothie?
Mistake? No. Stupidity.

Who, in their right mind, thinks a green curry makes a cold drink?

This bit of news is worthy of US daytime teevee.  Check your brain at the door.
Tune in tomorrow, when the headline will be "dog chases cat."
