To let anyone who is in the market for scales, know. After several 'disasters' from Shopee, finally went for the cheapest at Bht 158 plus Bht 38 shipping, as shown on the previous thread. Arrived yesterday after two days.

Bloody marvellous, accurate kilos, plus BMI, Fat %, Body fat weight kg, Skeletal muscle mass, Water, Visceral fat, Protein, Obesity degree, Body age, Weight without fat, most of which I ignore or don't know what it is.

Great things are rechargeable from USB, and Bluetooth results to your phone, which it stores and can compare changes......All for Bht 158.

Just ordered it for 93 baht after discounts and including shipping  😄

Yes I think so, but mine will go back right away.

The app is ridden  with spam ads from Shopee and Lazada, which often are difficult to exit.

And you need the app to use the function.

Yes it is stupidly cheap for an electronic scale as long as it is actually accurate..........and remains so.........

That cost less than the luggage scales I have just ordered.

For this price, including delivery, I get an analog scale that doesn't require batteries and also displays the weight!

These used to be a handy item to have, if you needed a scale ....  (a very long time ago )

and just for reference..  a $1 bill weighs 1 gram

And the only thing that might be accurate is weight. The rest I doubt

Yes I agree. It says my body fat is healthy, but my visceral fat is obese. Weight seems accurate enough.

I couldn't be bothered to send it back, as it would cost me more than 92 baht to drop it off, but it's an inaccurate toy.

 

I'm going to the gym daily, and am quite muscular, yet it says that my protein mass is way below average. lol

I also have a similar looking scale, without all the bells and whistles, which I bought from decathlon for about 400 baht, and on the one from Shopee I weigh about 500 gram less haha

Even scales at the hospital I go to show differing weights.

At least on this, if I pick up two bags of sugar I go up 2kg. 555

Even the more expensive body scans are just hoaxes and do not gives any valuable results. Of course the more expensive more features and more correct weight but when it comes BMI, bones and etc, just BS

BMI is fairly easy to calculate as long as you put in your correct height.

But, yes, the rest are just BS, same as watches which can measure you blood pressure etc.

I asked Chat GPT how it could work, and again some BS about it sending a current through your body and measuring resistances and capacitances. Total BS.

On average yes, but I am 93 kg now and maybe 17% fat, due to my bmi Im overweight

BMI is calculated by Weight in kg / Height in Mtrs squared. So to get it down, try growing a few centimetres.

At that price my concern wouldn't be value but build quality and longevity.

 

But like all these cheap goods if something goes wrong at least you haven't lost much. It's just the draw of a card.
