Thaksin Shinawatra is set to meet a psychologist for a routine mental health check-up, coinciding with a highly anticipated second family visit at Klong Prem Central Prison at 10 AM. This comes amid media focus on his daily life, which reportedly includes early rising, early bedtime, enjoying boiled eggs for breakfast, reading, watching TV, and arm-swinging exercises. Thaksin's family has deposited 15,000 baht into his prison account for minor purchases, according to regulations.

On 9 September, Thaksin, a former prime minister, was taken into custody by Bangkok Remand Prison following the Supreme Court's verdict to imprison him for one year. He was subsequently transferred to Klong Prem Central Prison’s medical unit due to his status as an elderly inmate, in accordance with regulations for different types of detainees. This move has been part of ongoing coverage as Thaksin navigates his imprisonment.

Thaksin's daughters, Paetongtarn and Pintongta Kunakornwong, along with their spouses, will meet him today in front of a sizable media audience. Accompanied by his lawyer, Winyat Chartmontree, arrangements have been made for the visit. Officials confirmed that this family visit is part of the regular prison protocol, underscoring its significance given Thaksin’s high-profile status.

His appointment with a psychologist is routine but draws considerable attention due to the unique circumstances of Thaksin’s imprisonment.

Looking ahead, the situation continues to attract public and media attention as Thaksin settles his sentence, with regular health checks and family visits monitored closely. The ongoing interest in Thaksin’s activities and routines highlights the enduring intrigue surrounding his life and legal journey.

Along with all prisoners getting a mental health check - only in Thailand do the officials admit to and go on with such bull 💩.

Normal prisoners are lucky to get a second thought as to their general heath, let alone their mental health?

He's fine once on the plane to Dubai or Singapore, therefore it must be the Thai environment that brings on these life threatening conditions he suffers when ever here. You would think the doctors who resurrected him from his previous near death experience would have advised him against staying in Thailand and seriously consider location elsewhere.

Wrong.  2561 (2018), each prisoner's account is limited to a maximum of 9,000 THB and a prisoner cannot spend more than 300 THB per day.

False - each prisoner can have 15k in their account

Sounds like he's scraping the bottom of the barrel, in other words, he's desperate.
