I have been disillusioned by what I thought was a very traditional culture.

Divorce rates are just as high as in the West ... women dumping their kids off most of the time.

Which is why so many grow up without proper guidance, and commit crimes, use more drugs and alcohol, and repeat their parents mistakes. No one needs to leave their children with grandma and leave the village. they choose to because they don't want the responsibility. It starts with the boys who first leave a pregnant girl, or soon afterwards, and then the girl thinks they need to go to a big city to make more money, and many don't send any home,but use it to pay for rent, which they wouldn't need to pay if they lived home, worked while grandma was home with the kids, then saw their kids every day when they returned from work. There are no excuses.

Pretty sure US and UK have worse people with better education, Theft is almost non existent here, back home, my gold clubs and bicycle would be stolen within the hour

Theft here is daily, just as it is in other poor countries. Scooters are stolen here every day, and gold stores are robbed. People take things from their own neighbors all the time, and in tourist areas, people are targeted all the time. It's not only about a better education but having a father in the house that is responsible and loves his children.

I know, I know... they are bar girls and effectively hookers, who have loads of different customers (and probably boyfriends), with either no shame or plenty of lies.

But for me, I at least try to only buy drinks for and give attention to one particular girl in any bar, out of the few that I go to.

It’s really a question of being loyal for short time (ST) or long time (LT), but hopefully not for 2long 🤣
