It can be a phycological problem too.

 

Sometimes, life throws a lot of BS at oneself and some grapple with these their entire life and eventually become bitter with society. As we grow older, this problem exacerbates.

 

As some people are not confident to engage with another in real life, these anonymous forums becomes their favorite boxing ring - hidden behind the anonymity, they become keyboard Rambos.

 

Its not everyone, if you observe carefully, it will always be the same persons who do this.

 

Its annoying, true. But just have pity on them and ignore (It is easier said than done, I know!).

I have 25 on ignore lol but there's a few that are still nasty. They must have low self esteem to abuse a computer screen name. That's all we, a name on a screen

And the answer is, because the way the forum is funded.

Google ads pays per click, trolls post and click a lot.

 

In some other forums there are no trolls because the first iffy post puts them on 'no posts published until approved'

Which limits their posting ability to one or two times publishing a day.

Which in this forum would reduce forum income, cos it's no fun trolling without all the instant replies.

Another rule often imposed on other forums "you must be nice to other forum members", and being nasty, instantly places you on 'no posts published until approved' watch list.

Don't know about you but the seasoned posters here will tell you that 20 years ago, things were a lot less confrontational

and much more tolerant than nowadays.  

How many bans has he had in the last 6 Months for abusing members ? name calling because they react to him. likes to give it but can't take it so calls them cowards etc.
