I have stayed in the ones in Khao Sok and they were okay but not great by any means. The resort has not kept them up well enough and some are stretching the definition of a tree house.

Why hijack the topic? Khao Sok hotels get mixed reviews. This place gets good ones.

What is so dumb about it, especially in reference to so many other threads started.  

 

Without trolls, threads could turn into interesting conversations, as more people would read and ask questions and supply input.   Like, are insect, ant for instance an issue and they can be.   Or snakes, monkeys or other critters that enjoy hanging out in the trees.

 

But knowing the thread turns into a sh!tfest, many simply avoid, as I do with 99% of the threads on AN.

 

Really do wonder why I bother most times, as I scan the 'new content', and takes all of 5 mins now, to go through 6-10 of content.  Might open 2 or 3.

 

After the first page (if lucky) it's a sh!tfest of handbags at 10 paces.

Complete BS. I can't remember the last time I opened a thread and you hadn't put your tuppence worth in. Normally along the lines of "Aren't I wonderful, look at me. All you lot are idiots. Look at me again, aren't I great".

Gibbon Experience in Northern Laos. Very Jungle-ish, about $100 a day all in.

 

Gibbon-spotting? iffy. But the restaurant was a true 5* Lao restaurant, which is very hard to find outside of Luang Prabang.
