As a tourist here in Pattaya  for last few weeks i look around at many of the places and wonder if expats could afford it

 

for eg I was at a Pattaya sports bar last night I think called Brewdog in Soi Bukhao 

Very beautiful but higher end prices because of air conditioning comfort 

 

Do you go to S&P cafe? 

Air conditioning sports lounges brewdog etc 

Walking street go go bars 

Chocolate factory restaurant 

 

 

 

May I ask do you expats frequent the same places as us tourists ?

Last week I visited a couple of massage parlours. 

 

I had a special massage at each shop, 1300 baht + +. 😎

They are not  a fancy restaurant at all. Chain out of America very famous for its huge menu and deserts which feature chocolate heavily.

I haven't met the owner, only day and night managers, nice people 👍

 

My bill for the chocolate factory last Sunday night came to over 1600 baht including that dreaded service charge and VAT 

 

Now this Frasers sports lounge is that mainly tourists or expats?

It's on that main Rd in Jomtien 

 

I find the places that charge that dreaded service charge  mainly are  for tourists

It's one of those places those guys in videos on youtube would go to a lot. Especially the condo videos - they'd show one and then show the places nearby. Including the beach.  Guess they feel they have to show something a bit different or  noteworthy.

I'm back in Australia but had written that and didn't realise it ,I came back Thursday I think it was via Melbourne on a Bogan airline which I will never never never fly again in their supposssed business class called ......guess the name

There's good buffets for under 400 Baht.

No need to ever spend 1600 on a meal, unless you're really into fancy wine or some specialty items.

If money is no object, go for it.

But I wasted over 1000 Baht in a seafood restaurant and it wasn't worth it all.
