Several reasons. Thai Immigration has never forced their way into my house. The two visits I've had from the over the last few decades have been courteous and professional.

When they did visit they didn't wore masks and had their IDs readily available.

And although I'm obviously not Thai I've never been rounded up in the streets or any other place and brought to a detention center for questioning, so apart from a couple of <deleted>holes I've encountered along the way, on the whole I don't have much to complain about.

Nothing wrong with getting rid of illegal immigrants, and many places in the world have harsh policies, including Thailand that you live in, do the same... no big deal, be legal or accept the consequences, unless you advocate breaking the law.

Maybe leave it to the courts and politicians other than your own singular biased judgement. Personal biased dislike of a figure or context is not worthy of critical thinking analysis outcomes due to personal bias.... did you make a T-Chart of the positives and negatives to organise your thinking on this topic, or maybe infer things that are not written and you maybe read between the lines (inference) etc.? Did you even look at the picture you re-posted. The pastor/priest was within arms length of a squad of riot cops. 

 

The only people that would get that close after being warned to move away are violent rioters. Wearing a priest collar as a costume is what is lame.
