How damaging is Trump's thirst for revenge?

Featured Replies

The recent indictment of Leticia James for fraud has to be considered silly, petty, and ironic when you take into account the fact that Trump himself was convicted of massive bank fraud by the same woman. And nobody really knows the extent of the bank fraud that Trump has committed over the course of his career, this was just one of many very questionable loans.

The federal government alleges James bought a three-bedroom home in Norfolk using a mortgage loan that required her to use the property as her secondary residence and did not allow for shared ownership or "timesharing" of the home.

The indictment claims the property "was not occupied or used" by James as a secondary residence, but was instead "used as a rental investment property", which was being rented to a family of three. James's attorney, Abbe Lowell, said: "We are deeply concerned that this case is driven by President Trump's desire for revenge."

In the civil fraud case brought by James, Trump was found liable of falsifying records to secure better loan deals, leading to a $500m (£375m) fine. The penalty was thrown out by an appeals court, which called the fine excessive, though it upheld that Trump was liable for fraud.

To many of us this latest indictment just reeks of a highly compromised judicial system, that is simply doing its bidding for Trump, and fueling his bloodthirsty desire for revenge.

Not damaging at all, Letitia James will not be missed and easily replaced.

Good fraudsters like her face the consequences of their criminal action.

Nice to see someone bringing frivolous lawsuits now being on the receiving end, sweet justice.

I think that it's sad that it's come to this, but they'd just try it on again next time if they suffered no consequences for last time.

Oh who am I kidding?  I'm enjoying the payback immensely.

She clearly committed mortgage fraud. 38 times.

Such heinous crimes cannot go unpunished.

Snigger.

One house in one state only? Sounds illegal comparable with anyone else.

maybe go ask Fanni....lol....and her dip$hit boyfriend.

I think it will be extremely damaging, for him and some of his family members.

I am 100% sure he will be in a jail cell in the future, and will (hopefully) begin to regret all his treasonous and revengeful tactics against the American people, yes, he is taking revenge from the entire nation, on behalf of some foreign "friends".

Your post with "Letitia James" replaced with "Donald J. Trump" and "her" with "him" will not age well.

How damaging is Trump's thirst for revenge?

Just as damaging as the Left / Democrats thirst to use lawfare to destroy Trump.

Trump DID NOT release the Lawfare Genie from its bottle.  That was solely the coordinated acts of Democrat Attorney Generals seeking to use lawfare to "get Trump," after his term in office, and they were right up front about it when they ran for their AG offices.  "Elect me and I'll get Trump."

Now the shoe is on the other foot.

Now, imho that Lawfare Genie should have never been released from its bottle, but now that its out, there ain't no stuffing him back in.  I see that as a social problem spanning both sides of the political divide.

I detest lawfare regardless of who uses it.  It sucks.  And now we're in a constant cycle of political revenge which may end up becoming one catalyst for civil war.  And I do not wish to see civil war in the country of my birth.  Unfortunately many people do.  And people on both sides of the political divide - perhaps a majority - wish to see "their side" use lawfare against "the other side," and worse, they wish to see their side "Win" (whatever that means) against the other side by any means necessary.  That's fascistic thinking and action regardless of who wields the lawfare and political power against others.

Nobody wins spidermike007.  It's Lose/Lose all the way!

Sadly a pine box is likely to come sooner. We are still missing a bunch of classified documents.

Oh, release the Epstein file too.

And what exact "treasonous acts" are you accusing President Trump of committing? Do you even know the legal definition of treason under US law or  are merely making emotional outbursts, and not legal arguments?

Legal Definition of Treason In the U.S., treason is defined under Article III, Section 3 of the Constitution:
  • Treason consists of "levying War against [the United States], or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort."
  • It requires two witnesses to an overt act or a confession in open court, making it one of the hardest crimes to prosecute.
  • The U.S. has prosecuted fewer than 40 treason cases in history, with convictions rare (e.g., Aaron Burr acquitted; Tokyo Rose convicted but later pardoned).

How about the Canadian version, any clues how it works there not that it matters. Internationally, treason is a domestic crime, so Canadian accusations labeling any potential Trump Canada rhetoric as treasonous are legally irrelevant unless applied to Canadian law which defines treason under Section 46 of the Criminal Code, similarly requiring acts like levying war or aiding enemies during wartime. President Trump does not aid enemies he destroys them with a little custom FAFO.

Its obvious then you are a hater making emotional and uninformed, ignorance based mutterings of irrelevance. Question is why, did your toque fail allowing the frost to permeate deep into your block?

If these people are guilty of what they are accused of, why should they not be prosecuted?

and considered based on a grand jury indictment in in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia (Norfolk Division), a very blue district I do declare.

I , and i think many others,  would agree with you ..IF...  the magnitude of the political attacks was not WAY off the charts.   Going back at least ten years , with all the dirty tricks and lies and lawfare and fake impeachments and raiding his home gestapo style ...... and how about a few assasination attempts ?

Really ..... if it was anyone on this forum had been subjected to what DJT  has been through I think they would wish death on the people that orchestraded it !

Just posting an opinion on this forum can bring out the psychopathic tendencies in some of the members .
