Chonburi Immigration Police have arrested three Indian nationals accused of assaulting a compatriot in a jealous rage at a restaurant in South Pattaya. The incident, which occurred on 17 October 2025, left the victim with a head wound requiring seven stitches. Officers swiftly tracked down the suspects, raiding a room in Soi Ko Phai the following day and taking three men into custody.

Pol. Col. Napasphong Khositsuriyamanee, Superintendent of Chonburi Immigration, ordered the operation led by Pol. Lt. Col. Kawinwat Arayasuryawong, Deputy Superintendent, and Pol. Lt. Pongcharoen Thongphaiboon, Deputy Inspector. Working in coordination with Pattaya City Police, officers surrounded and searched the suspects’ hideout, arresting Ran Manohar Sharma, 30, identified as the gang leader, along with Ankhil 24, and Ankur, 21. All three were taken to the Immigration Office for questioning.

The arrests followed a complaint by Narendra Tamta, the injured victim, who reported being attacked by four fellow Indians inside the restaurant. He sustained a deep head injury and required stitches. Investigators believe the assault stemmed from jealousy, as the attackers mistakenly believed the victim was romantically pursuing Sharma’s girlfriend, who also works at the same restaurant.

Police reviewed CCTV footage and gathered intelligence that led them to a rented room belonging to an Indian woman in South Pattaya, where the suspects were hiding. The raid resulted in the capture of three men, while one suspect remains on the run. Authorities are continuing their search to bring the final perpetrator into custody and are coordinating with immigration and local police to prevent his escape.

Officers stated that all three arrested men face assault charges and may also be investigated for immigration-related offences. The incident has prompted local authorities to tighten monitoring of migrant groups, amid concerns about violent disputes among foreign workers in tourist areas.

Ahh yeas, the  bigot brigade offered its inane racist generalizations. Always the same comments.

You know I like her, and I was the first one to get with her, and even though all three of us have had her, she likes me more! So you need to back down and leave her alone, you know how attached to bar girls I get, you should try to behave more respectfully around me.

So woke that he can no longer sleep.

It's funny to read comments from foreigners who think they can vote other foreigners off the island.  You (we) are all filth in the eyes of the Thais.  Absolute filth. They make no more distinction between us than we would with a pack of swart 'teens' back home.
