    lots of pretties.

  • Thanks but no thanks, prefer a couple minutes to fill up and a 900km range and not have to fuss for a recharge in the boonies. Too each their own though.

  • Sorry dear friend, they only make 100% combustion engines for me, the only battery I want in a vehicle is the little one to crank it over.

Better colors of cars.

I've been looking around and it seems that most makes

go for a limited choice of ugly boring colors.

In come the Chinese EV's with some orriginal but even worse colors .

yep, the GT63 is not fast enough!

More (any) affordable BEV trucks, <1M THB, along the lines of RD6.   Will someone please make a long bed, w/smaller 2 door cab.   Already have an SUV, I don't need an SUV w/small cargo bay behind the cab.

What is the difference between Motor Show and Motor Expo?

  • Motor Show March : Focuses on displaying the latest automotive technology from leading car manufacturers around the world, including presentations of ideas about the future of the automotive industry.
  • Motor Expo December : Focuses on promoting car sales directly to consumers. The event features special promotions from many car manufacturers to stimulate sales at the end of the year.

Friday Dec 5th (3 day weekend) & Wednesdy the 10th, are a Thai holiday, so may want to avoid those days, if thinking about going on that Friday & Monday to avoid crowds. :w00t:

I'm thinking 1,219,000 baht can be better spent on a BEV :cheesy:

For those that don't want a BEV truck with a Chinese auto maker badge on the from, this my interest...

Toyota Hilux Revo BEV; it is produced by Toyota in Thailand, and will be a competitor in the market flooded by Chinese EVs. The electric Hilux is being developed and manufactured by the Japanese company at its facilities in Thailand, with mass production expected to begin by the end of 2025.

Manufacturer: Toyota

Production location: Thailand

Production timeline: By the end of 2025

Battery about 20% more (59kWh), than our MG ZS, but WLTP range is a bit less, ~300 kms vs 320 kms for the ZS, with 50kW battery.   Although we do get ~340 at highway speeds, and ~360 knocking around town.

Hope they submitter the actual production model for WLTP testing :coffee1:

Like what appears to be longer bed, and less SUV-ish cab, 2 vs 4 door.   Warranty & price point should be interesting.

if my translation worked correctly thats 1.6m baht for a BEV truck.........no thanks.....

I think it would depend on the truck,

I'm not sure what the BYD Shark Hybrid truck costs in Australia, but it's just as fast as the new Ranger Raptor.  I'm not a truck fan, but if I was, I'd definitely prefer BEV over ICE.

I am on the opposite side, today pickup trucks if used as they are made for, off road, rough terrains, heavy load, I dont believe yet that BEV truck are ready and worth that much money, compared to for example a Ford Raptor or the even the Ford Ranger 3.0V6.

I would easily put 1.6M on a Raptor or Ranger V6, even the top Mitsubishi Triton Athlete. no way on Hilux BEV.
Ford seems to be the only one offering a pickup with Matrix led.

I would worry about rigidity in a BEV truck, if they fix that then I think it’s a good choice if it’s a lifestyle truck.

I don’t see Somchai the farmer buying one anytime soon.

Be awesome if Ford sold the MS-RT here fitted with the Raptor V6 benzine engine and a manual gearbox.

Instead it gets the V6 diesel slug with a crappy auto box.

I have always preferred diesel any time instead of Gasoline. Why do you prefer gasoline pickup?

A diesel pickup engine will outlast the gasoline by 2 times.

If I buy one it better be without that DPF system, or have it removed.

That Ford MS-RT is a nice truck. At many Toyota dealers you can find a the Hilux 2.8 Low Floor at a good discount, Euro5 without that DPF crap. in sport mode its really great, you should try.

I have the Fortuner Legender 2.8, and in sport mode it's really good and responsive. Normal and Eco it is so slow... but I dont know if I should tune it or not.
