What do you reckon is Mr. Trump's emotional age?

Featured Replies

OK, objectively Mr. Trump is a long in the tooth old man of age seventy-nine.

But he sure doesn't behave like a normal mature man! Well, except for the obviously rapidly creeping symptoms of dementia.

Personally, I have considered him emotionally as a toddler.

But this video references the legendary (deceased) traditional conservative political commentator Charles Krauthamer. He had originally judged Mr. Trump to be like an eleven year old but later adjusted his age to only one. One is basically still a baby so not quite the toddler age I've been considering him. Well technically toddlers are from age one to three, but when I think of Trump's toddler persona I'm picturing more like two or three.

As an aside, Charles Krauthamer happened to be among the conservative thinkers that I greatly admired. Remember the days when people could have respect for people across political lines? Oh well.

That really doesn’t make any flipping sense at all. My opinion isn’t relevant here, it’s your opinion that is on display here and that is what your OP is really about, isn’t it?

12-13 years old, same as kids going to puberty

Your opinion seems to be it's not OK to have a bad opinion of Mr. Trump.

That is dumb.

The topic isn't about people with bad opinions of Mr. Trump.

It's about the perceived emotional age of him.

What do you consider it to be?

Why? He has no power over Pad Thai prices

No matter what anyone might think, he's intellectually capable to a degree. Not quite a large vocabulary but not stupid. Being a grandiose, malignant and communal narcissist, his emotional development stopped at toddler age. A high sense of entitlement garnered from his childhood years, penchant to control others through the power he's not only attained through money but now the presidency. This is why many Americans. myself included even though I'm not on either side, are worried about his decisions. They get ahead because of their ability to adapt and also deceive, and many have failed business ventures. He's come away from these because of his billions. ..............https://www.family-institute.org/behavioral-health-resources/eight-types-narcissists

People who are emotionally immature tend to be unsuccessful in life because they can’t cope with all the ups and downs. People who don’t cave in to their feelings and cultivate discipline and focus weathering difficulties tend to be more successful, you know people like Trump are much more successful because they’re not emotional wimps. How about you? Do you feel offended by harsh words on a discussion board? Do you react with the thumps down when you read something here that strikes your emotions? Like I said, the OP is really about you, not Trump.

Using an indicted spy as your support.

 Typical.

Charles Krauthamer. He had originally judged Mr. Trump to be like an eleven year old but later adjusted his age to only one.

So only a one year old can fix the lefts purposely broken border, get the stock mkt into the stratosphere, end unendable wars around the world with sensational hostage releases the left had given up on and generally Make America Great Again while guzzling diet cokes and McDs burgers. Who knew?

Irrational fear and hatred is a terrible thing.

It isn't.

I don't have power.

Trump has massive power.

My emotional age whatever it is is totally irrelevant.

Trump is successful because his family gave him millions, and he had good advice in real estate buying to make more. He is what he is and many helped him along the way. What Americans are now hoping is that he can actually do something with all this power that will help the average American and not just the rich, and to eradicate people America doesn't need around.

True, but if Trump was stunted emotionally he most likely wouldn’t have been able to carry his success forward to where he brought to date. An emotionally stunted person would have most likely squandered everything, Trump didn’t and pushed forward and further than most people on this planet. But I get it, the left has delusional fantasies about Trump, as utterly stupid as it is.

Oh how wrong you are, it’s squarely on the delinquent emotional age of the average lefty that put Trump in office.

Many emotionally stunted people are successful in business. It isn't a lack of intelligence but how they act towards others. Especially if he's in a circle of millionaires, he will be following their advice and join them in ventures.

As is the genesis of your irrational hate of Trump?

Wrong, the two go hand in hand. Stop pretending to be smart, you are no more than an average joe at best.

Probably pretty high he certainly doesn't spend his whole life like a immature child obsessing about one person.

30 years of research on the subject isn't pretending. Try it yourself and take away the fact you like Trump for whatever reasons. People like me in the middle see politicians as they are and aren't affected by hero worship , biased opinions, lies or propaganda. Never assume you know people you never met.

You clearly contradicted yourself here. Again stop trying to look smart, it has a ridiculous look on you.

I said he was given millions and got ahead with help from others, which is true. He is a definite narcissist, which makes him act like a toddler, although he does have intelligence, as most do, which is also true. I also said how he acts towards others has little to do with his intelligence, which is also true, as history has shown everyone. Some that like him are blind to how he really is. That he's done some good, as all presidents have, is obvious, but how he acts and what he says are also obvious. I didn't contradict anything, and it isn't pretending pointing out the obvious about him. It's clearly evident. Concentrate on what others here have said, as I haven't been wrong about him.

I'd say about 2years old, having tantrums, and he spits the dummy when he can't get his own way. edit; and he can barely talk coherently

Twelve.  He is a typical primary schoolyard bully.
Between the lies, the bragging, the failing, the blaming others for his own mistakes, the standing in awe of dictators ... Yes. Twelve.

So you are with Krauthamer before he took him down to one.

Totally agree. Two fits well.

Have you ever met President Trump?

Didn't think so, but that doesn't stop you making judgements.
