Now, now, now, I've seen that piece of pap Iphone, it really is atrocious. Even when she was here she had to angle the cable just right so that trash phone actually charged, and even then sometimes it did, sometimes it didn't.

It's now very clear that the internet outages were caused by her phone switching off. Nothing to do with carrier coverage, it's very clear what's causing it. Sub-standard Apple quality.
