I think it's BECAUSE she's intelligent. That Thai bf was 12 years older from a family with money, and he spent big on her. So given her economic situation this made a lot of sense to her. He was very in love with her apparently, so again, understandable.

With the 62 year old I think she was seduced by the Farang lore, he was after all very monied, owning 5 condos, and he would have told her so, angled her with the allowance, so she would have considered it's a safe bet.

Whilst the Thai guy had a few kilos too much he had an affable and intelligent, good natured face, same with the 62 year old. I don't want to overstate how decrepit they were.

I just told her I miss her a lot.

Any ideas on what I could ask for, for which she could not come up with some flimsy excuse not to do it?

Even with video calls she'll say the phone is not working well enough or something like this.

There has to be some way to ask for something which she can't refuse, that would indicate where she is?

Google translate was actually useless. The translated word did not result in any cafe hits in Chon Buri. But when I showed the text to a Thai friend, that enabled me to find the cafe. Assuming it was not a made-up name, obviously.

She has friends with phones, she has work colleagues with phones she could just ask one of them to send the location as she stands next to them, how are you going to avoid this simple fact now, will you put your blindfold back on.

If she can send videos then she can also send a location, Thais do it all the time.

Like I said, she has a very old phone, doesn't use social media a great deal, she's not very savvy with phone tech. I don't even know how to share my location on Google maps. She can easily claim ignorance.

Yes, I could ask her to send a photo or video of her surroundings, around the cafe or condo. She may again claim the phone is not working.

No the word google came up with as a translation did not result in any cafe hits in Chon Buri. However, using the Thai word with proper spelling in English transliteration, two "n"s, did then result in cafe hits in Chon Buri. Lucky I had a Thai friend who could tell me exactly how to write the Thai word in English letters.

What does it matter? All you need to do is visit the cafe. If she's there, you can pretend that you don't know her, act like a normal customer and leave. You can talk later. If she's not there...

Then you'll have to decide if you still want to be around something quite so... fishy 😊
