Why?  Did girlfriend cause the motorbike accident?  Was another motorbike or person at fault?

 

The process is contact either the Traffic Police and/or mobile insurance adjuster who can assign fault and determine next financial steps.

 

Next if he rented with a foreign credit card some offer vehicle insurance in foreign countries some don't.

 

This is the Slovaks responsibility,  The hospital allows for Credit Card payments which gives him about 30 days to pay off.

 

I could, would provide the above info but Slovak needs to handle it or ask for assistance from Police, Insurance, Hospital if he needs to make payments.

FYI a private hospital has No authority to hold a person for not paying.  If the person provides Passport, location of accomodations and room number.  A phone number and promise to pay next day.  

 

This is why an accident responsibility, procedure and important contact numbers should be required and signed off on when renting.

Not eaten for days, getting thrown out of apartment then needing money to get her stuff back.... many, many reasons...

So lets say you witness a motor cycle accident by somebody you don't know and you have no connection with. That person has several friends that they were travelling with. Said person crashes and needs to go to hospital.

Friends of the person who crashes says can you come to the hospital and help out friend out and but the way although he is our friend we aren't paying you are.

Are you telling me you would cough up. I don't mind helping anybody but I expect them to have their own means of paying, like insurance. Surely otherwise it is a scam.

I assume they wanted her to help because they were incapable of sorting it for themselves. Let's face it why does anybody employ a guide. For some reason even though at 8pm the tourists are not with the guide they some how thing the guide is still there to help at no additional cost. They couldn't speak any English so that is what their Embassy is there for or hospital phones the insurance company.

So you know how far the hospital was and the fare to there, and back. Yes a bit high but she was topping up her card so had something else in mind no doubt. Either way 500 baht or 5000 baht let the ******* Slovaks cough up, assuming it was all true.

I got a knee that looks like that from a collision with a drunk  Thai policeman that ran away. 

I can't think where, but very, very recently I have seen an exact copy of that X-Ray in a news outlet. Scam comes to mind, but i could be wrong.

Wait and see if there is crowd funding to bail a Slovak out who crashed his motor bike and has not insurance. Or has insurance but no motor cycle license.

Mate ,  do the right thing and send her 20,000 thb because that would not be enough to pay the hospital. It's obvious that she's not scamming you by only asking for 10,000 .It shows she is genuine.. Send her 30,000 so she'got a bit extra to calm her stress.

On the subject of Thai girlfriend requests here's a good one. My Aussie mate got a sob story from his girlfriend in Hat Yai about her uncle who had trained monkeys to pick coconuts for him. One day the monkey climbed up the tree and was in a bad mod so he threw one at the uncle and it hit him on the head and knocked  his teeth out. So she needed the money to get him new teeth implants.. He never told me how much but it wouldn't have been cheap. Anyway about a year later I was at his wedding  at the family farm and the old monkey uncle turned up and I noticed that he didn't have a tooth in his head and was having trouble chewing his food. When I pointed it out to my mate he said ah, don't worry about it that's o.k.. An example of  how blokes can be sucked in when they are in love.
