A 28-year-old Pakistani DJ, Mr. Mughal Usama, was violently assaulted by a gang of over ten men on motorcycles on 31 October 2025 in South Pattaya. The attack occurred outside Wat Chai Mongkhon Royal Temple, opposite Pattaya City School 8, and was captured on CCTV. Mr. Usama sustained head injuries, bruises, and cuts and has lodged a formal complaint with local police.

The assault took place in the early morning hours as Mr. Usama drove away from a red light. According to his account, the attackers ordered him to stop and asked, “Are you looking for trouble?” before physically attacking him. He was repeatedly punched kicked and struck with his own helmet, falling to the ground with his motorcycle during the attack.

Mr. Usama provided CCTV footage, when reporting the incident later that morning to authorities, which clearly shows the group surrounding him and using their helmets as weapons. Despite intervention attempts from nearby residents, the gang fled the scene on their motorcycles. The victim indicated that a minor incident two days earlier, when a rider honked at him aggressively, may have triggered the attack, though he could not confirm if the same individuals were involved.

Police are reviewing the video evidence to identify and apprehend the suspects. Mr. Usama expressed ongoing fear for his safety, noting that he must use this road daily to travel to work. Authorities have assured that investigations are underway to hold the perpetrators accountable.

I'd like to know what he did to provoke the attack.    The story suggest road rage.    Idiot probably deserved it

  • Of topic comment but I didn't know you could get a work permit as a DJ in Thailand. (assuming he has one)

The CCTV screenshots show nothing indicating an assault.   I call fake news   💯0%

Pretty central area. You would like to think the police could get there pretty quickly. Obviously some interaction incident happened prior. Fortunate no guns of knives involved. I hope he makes enough at the job to afford a Uber/Bolt in future.

So, going though red lights is something only Thais can do?

Must have been pretty crappy music for them to bash him.

Indians, Pakistanis and most Arabs fight the same way. Our culture is the only one that demands etiquette in a street fight.

10 on to one is the usual number for cowardly Thais united against any farang.

This was obviously due to the bad music he must have been blasting, being the DJ that he says he is.

So, is this the typical retribution for disturbing the peace?

What goes around, comes around.

And, I am surprised this does not happen more regularly, what with all the blasted music being blasted, around here.

I don't see anything to support that conclusion.

I expect that it may be a "driving while brown" incident.

There is a problem with teenage  gangs causing problems, so this may have been just another one of their incidents.

Let's be clear here, if you come to Thailand, be respectful and obey the road rules.

I see lots of negativity regarding my first comment.

If you road rage or similar I hope you get a lesson in life from the Pattaya gang guys.

If I knew who these Thai gangs were, I'd even reward them for disciplining these disrespectful foreigners.

Worst thing about Thailand is some of the FOREIGNERS, their behavior is dreadful 😡

You seem not to know much.

You think all those foreign DJ's playing in the WS discos every night for years already, don't have work permits?

Come to Pattaya Patong guy, you'll be surprised what you see. Actually, when you arrive, message me, I will show you around, it's vulgar, very offensive the foreigners behaviour

I like the teenage gangs in Pattaya. I've never had an issue with these guys.

You do the right thing, behave, be respectful, they leave you alone.

I reckon Pakistani guy was in the wrong.

It's a ROAD RAGE incident.

Are you out of your mind?

They must be your heavy drugs suppliers. Admit it

The photos in the OP are in broad daylight, both from the office, and in the street.
