Israeli Man Wanted for Armed Robbery Arrested in Koh Samui

Featured Replies

If the French gub'ment sent a request to Thailand to arrest someone because they said bad things about Macron's wife, I wonder if Thailand would bother?  France would probably request that Thailand arrest the guy for something else.

I'd like to think the truth is being reported here.  But I'm not convinced we know what's really going on.  And my skepticism isn't specific to the Israeli gub'ment.  It's all of them.

I'm skeptical until someone comes up with an article in the Israeli papers detailing what exactly happened, with corroboration from the victims and the local police back home.  I think they'd be less likely to spin a yarn back in Israel (or France, or the UK, or the USA) because there would be more scrutiny than a news flash in Thai media.

  • Seems like Thailand is a growing refuge for Israeli criminals.

  • I am guessing that with a surname like Farhi this guy is an Arab Israeli.   If he had been a Jewish Israeli the Jewish Embassy would have ensured his release.

  • There was the daily Israeli story! Glad that the result is at least one less.

You can extend that to all nationalities... there are perps from Europe, US, China, Russia, Africa and everywhere... nothing special about Israelis as the criminal gene spreads wide. However, the Isrealis get even more bashing on here than the Brits... when really it's probably the Russians, Thais, and Chinese here that are the worst offenders.

They received a signal from the laptop,Usa has new software to catch child molesters while using their device so looking like they can track stolen laptops and phones anywhere now

I think they use Israeli software to do that.

Only one Israeli was arrested, yet every day there are reports of multiple Chinese arrested for running scam operations.  Why are they not banned for life and why does the government always try and promote Chinese tourists when so many of them are criminal scammers?

Seems like there are lots more Chinese criminals in Thailand than Israelis.

Seems like it was a Muslim robbing Jews .

Whose side are you on ?

I am on the side of honest people who don't commit crimes and tell lies - their religion, if they have one, isn't a factor at all.

First name is Hebrew. Last name Arabic or Hebrew.

There is no Jewish embassy anywhere and no, Israeli embassies don't have either space lasers or magical powers of getting people Jewish or otherwise released.

Benjamins don't work?
