Virginia is deep blue but trumps landslide victory had him in the lead early there from what i remember. You are wrong about most things you post

This is the problem with you right wing zealots - if a state isn’t deep red, it must be deep blue.  You clearly know little about the political leanings of Virginia but feel compelled to share your ignorance nevertheless.

Pathetic best sums up this response and most others as well.

NOVA is deep blue.  I’m from VA and I know what the deal is.

It’s more blue than red these days.  NOVA dominates the vote.

You've never heard of Ilhan Omar?

yes I am from MN, and if it wasn't for the huge Somalian population in her district she would never gotten in. She is a disgrace for the state of MN and the US

The Governor was Republican. So was the Lt. Governor.  The attorney general was a republican

This was due to the miss handled COVID school shut downs.

The incumbent Governor is a Republican.

Democrats hold a 21-19 majority in the state Senate.

Democrats hold a 51-49 majority in the House of Delegates

This is your idea of deep blue?

Thank you. I learned that from CNN too, no less

Pathetic to you but the truth nonetheless

According to Republican dogma, it's possible to pay for more stuff while having less money to do it with.

According to the Democrats dogma we are going to have a government we can’t afford whether you like it or not.  Don’t worry about the future generations.

Im not going to agree or disagree.

We should have the numbers in a few days. Right now its just crowing from the Dems from the depths of despair. Lots of analysis to follow

Congrats Dems: If you are trapped at the bottom of in an ideological cesspit, someone dangling dental floss from the top looks like a lifeline.

This seems to be the formula. Ignore your opponent, and campaign against Trump instead.  Might work in an off-year election. Especially considering that Republicans are still feeling rather pleased with themselves over the comprehensive victory in the 2024 Presidential race, and Democrats are motivated by hate.

It would be nice to see state and local issues decided over state and local concerns though.

In the postwar era massive government deficits started with Ronald Reagan. Under Bill Clinton, the USA had a balanced Budget. George Bush reversed that and massive deficits followed. Under Obama more deficits followed. But that was in the wake of the greatest economic crisis facing America since the Great Depression. Donald Trump cut taxes again with predictable results. It got worse because of Covid spending but that wasn't his fault. Nor was it Biden's who actually raised taxes on the wealthy to pay for expanded health care. Trump in his second term slashed taxes again with predictable results.

You and I have already debated this topic.  The US is spending at an unsustainable rate at 23 percent of the GDP.

And you keep on claiming that 23% is unsustainable. It's only unsustainable at the current rate of taxation.

Here is a little upbeat song,

When has the US collected over 20 percent of the GDP in revenue.  I’ll wait for an answer.

All the weak MAGA excuses are coming out now.

They cannot and will not believe the problem is theirs as they voted for the problem in 2024.

The problem is Trump and the gop who were desperate for power at any cost to the US people.

Now the price is coming home to them.

True, but NOVA isn’t all of Virginia and it is the rest of the state that balances the vote out.  Elections ebb and flow between one side and the other recently, which to me puts it squarely in the “purple” category.

Just because it never has happened is no proof that it's unsustainable. If someone in the 1930's were to use your kind of logic, that would be an argument against the percentage being above 8%

Look at the data.  I showed you data in the past.  Also, what do think will happen to investment and consumer spending if the feds extract an extra 1.8 to 2 trillion from the economy?

Well Trump suffered a far worse fate than did Biden. Funny how selective your memory is.
