King Charles Officially Strips Andrew of Duke and Prince Titles

King Charles III has officially stripped Prince Andrew of his prince and Duke of York titles, documents from The Gazette, the UK's official public record, confirm. The titles were revoked through a Royal Warrant and a legal instrument known as Letters Patent, effective last Thursday. This decision follows intense scrutiny over Andrew's controversial ties to the late Jeffrey Epstein.

The swiftness of this action highlights the severity with which the King addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding his brother. Buckingham Palace had announced Andrew's departure from his Royal Lodge home in Windsor, reflecting the continued impact of Epstein-related scandals. Andrew, now known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, reportedly accepted the King's decision without objection.

The entry published in The Gazette reads:

"The King has been pleased by Letters Patent under the Great Seal of the Realm dated 3 November 2025 to declare that Andrew Mountbatten Windsor shall no longer be entitled to hold and enjoy the style, title or attribute of 'Royal Highness' and the titular dignity of 'Prince'."

Earlier this year, emails surfaced indicating Andrew's extended contact with Epstein, despite his earlier admissions. These revelations added to mounting pressure and calls for accountability from various quarters. Virginia Giuffre reiterated allegations against Andrew in a recent memoir, which he has consistently denied, according to a report by the BBC.

Looking ahead, Andrew's removal from royal duties and his stripped titles indicate a major change in his public role. This decisive action by King Charles is intended to distance the monarchy from any ongoing controversies. The Palace has not indicated any plans for reinstatement, signalling a permanent change in Andrew's status.

Key Takeaways

  • King Charles III removed Prince Andrew's titles amid controversy.
  • The official record confirms the use of Royal Warrants and Letters Patent.
  • Andrew Mountbatten Windsor is adjusting to a new non-royal status.

I hope Harry and Rachel are watching.

Charles himself has not behaved well in the past. His treatment of Diana when she was a young bride was not good, to put it mildly.

Tell all, did his marriage problems have anything to do with disrespecting the UK, as Andy did....🤔

We don't know what Andrew has done. We do know that Charles cheated on his very young bride.

Good move. Because if more scandals come up, it could totally bring down the entire monarchy in the UK by global societal uproar.

Shameful...

Should we ponder if there is a difference between a guy cheating his spouse or treating her badly and the other one doing his stuff with underage girls ?

Neither are good, But on the scale of values, one may consider that the latter is worse maybe ?

Andrew continues to deny all allegations. Of course if, after all, he was intimate with Guiffre in the UK  she, being 17 at the time, was not underage.

Underage girls?

Charles and Camilla were an item long before Diana turned up. You could say Diana was "the other woman".

Diana didn't just 'turn up'. At 18 years old she was truly an English aristocrat with no previous intimate relationships. Camilla, meanwhile, was married while at the same time maintaining her relationship with Charles. I have no idea how Diana could be implied as being 'the other woman' in this situation.

She was the other woman as Charles and Camilla were and had been in a relationship for many years. However, Camilla was deemed unfit to be a future queen so Diana was hand picked to marry Charles.

I had to tell you as you appeared to not know, judging by your previous post.

.....downright cruel actually.

Does this mean he is financially cut off as well?  The boy must have some fancy lifestyle standards that he won't be able to afford as a Tesco greeter.

IMO Andy should set up a website where he offers sex advice, with side hustles selling sex toys etc.  Harry and his could set up a high-end escort service, providing arm candy to the LA hoi-paloy: red carpet women at red carpet prices.
