Police in Samut Prakan arrested a woman for filming explicit outdoor videos with strangers and selling the content online. The suspect, 42-year-old Larinya (surname withheld), was detained after a court-approved search warrant. Larinya allegedly distributed the content via social media to a private group of over 200,000 followers.

Larinya had reportedly been creating this material for more than four years, recruiting strangers without payment and uploading the footage to subscription platforms. She earned approximately 60,000 to 100,000 baht monthly. She left her previous job to become a full-time adult content producer, often filming with her boyfriend in secluded areas and collaborating with random participants.

The operation was led by Police Lieutenant General Siam Bunsom and included Crime Suppression and Investigation Division officers. They traced Larinya to Bang Mueang subdistrict after identifying her in a video. A statement from the Metropolitan Police highlighted the charges of distributing obscene content for commercial purposes.

Larinya faces charges for importing obscene data into computer systems, public pornography distribution, and commercial production of obscene material. She is currently with investigators at the Samut Prakan City Police Station for further legal proceedings.

Authorities emphasized this arrest is part of broader efforts to combat digital sex crimes, especially those in public areas or involving unsuspecting individuals. Ongoing investigations may lead to additional arrests in the future, reported The Thaiger.

Key Takeaways

  • Larinya earned up to 100,000 baht monthly from explicit videos.
  • The arrest is part of a crackdown on public digital sex crimes.
  • Further arrests are possible as investigations continue.

Thailand is far from EU countries where "webcaming" is long time new normal. 100,000THB/m ? Peanuts comparing to what real webcam "models" earn!

Vice has typically been a  stable revenue for the police. Whilst it still is, the shift to online earnings has presented challenges to the police as to how to get their cut. They also want a piece of the (other) action too.

She'd be a great wife for a few of the grumpy old men here, my thumbs down stalkers.

I'd like to see them hook up with each other, then he'd have some money to spend on a hobby or to buy a vehicle, travel around Thailand.

This would keep him away from his warrior keyboard

Thailand should update some of their laws.

Maybe come into the 21st century ? (or 26st)

I feel sorry for her. Now the authorities have made her unemployed during a bad economy. Do they expect her to eat grass? Seems a pretty harmless offence.

So not "public" but private through a subscription.

"...recruiting strangers without payment." This is not what I'd call "public digital sex crimes."

Likely video done in a private studio unlike the open air sex in public we see in Pattaya.

Just another example of prudishness, fake puritanism and the government sticking its nose where it simply doesn't belong. This woman was not hurting anybody as long as everything she does did was voluntary, and she was simply providing entertainment.

So many men, including a police lieutenant general, arresting a 42 year old woman who has harmed nobody. Such brave boys...

The Bhuddist puritanical system seems to be so warped.  If Thai society is so pure then they should be shutting down most of the music shows and gemale singers as welll as closing Pattaya beach road and Bukao as well as NANA and Cowboy along with Suthisan.

But know that is ok.

Say 20 (little less) it was cool to own your online casino. $20K turn-key setup.
I heard now it is cool to have your own webcam studio.
Guess between whom?

I am encouraged to see the authorities taking strong action against genuine criminal activities.

Absolutely agree. Everything perfectly above board, no exploitation. Remarkable acumen.

She should be rewarded for entrepreneurship.

In some EU (incl. wannabe EU) is quite legal and taxable just any entrainment activity.
