A British tourist was injured in a knife assault in Phuket shortly after midnight on 3 December 2025, prompting police to launch a search for a foreign suspect who fled the scene. The attack occurred in front of Maya Beach Club, behind the Aloma bar in Cherng Talay, Thalang District. Officers from Cherng Talay Police Station responded immediately after receiving the report and found the victim with arm injuries.

Police identified the injured tourist as 34-year-old Louis Johe Jarvie, a British national. Rescue workers from the Cherng Talay Subdistrict Administrative Organisation administered first aid at the scene before transporting him to Thalang Hospital for further treatment. Officers recorded the scene and gathered early witness accounts.

According to initial findings, the attacker was a foreign male whose identity remains unknown. He reportedly used a knife during a fight before escaping on foot moments before officers arrived. Police investigators began reviewing CCTV footage from locations around the incident site to determine the suspect’s movements and establish a clearer timeline.

Khoasod reported that authorities say the footage will be used to help identify the attacker and support further investigative steps. Once identified, police plan to pursue legal action in connection with the assault. The investigation remains ongoing as officers continue to gather evidence and trace the suspect.

Esp the new ones coming for the herb with their man bags and of course the usual suspects we  avoid the world over.

Nothing about a motive for the alleged knife attack.

No statement by the British tourist?

No questioning by the police?
