Tatts!

Kick em all outta the Kingdom.

True, and all the other nationalities as well, if a person is dim enough, rough enough and covered in tattoos,  and wants to go to Pattaya they should be turned back at the airport as undesirables, they belong in Costa Del Chav in Spain. 😃

Yes I find drunken foreigners, on holiday in Thailand, fighting in the street, amusing.

I also found your hostile comment amusing.

I am different, I am not frail or elderly, like dad's age. I find humor in most things. I'm a glass half full guy, not half empty, like some people here.

You must understand people are different, people have different attitudes.

Me and my positive, happy attitude will allow me to live a much longer, happier life than you.

BTW, I have 6 positive emojis against my comment above, looks like we have a many here who have the same beautiful, happy, attitude as mine.

You and I are in a minority on this blog, we are not negative enough to be welcomed here as I have seen from the number of thumbs down I have had over the years for posting positive or piss taking comments. 👍

Moan, moan, moan is the order of the day it seems.

But I take breaks now and then from my software engineering tasks and I have a good laugh reading the comments on this blog, it makes me realise how great life can be. 😃

Pathetic Police. Never visible and a B500 fine. ???????

Good to see, no two tier policing, same fine as a Thai would pay I reckon

A 500 baht fine is far too low a penalty. Might as well not bother. Should be at least ten times that anount

Yes. Read our posts again and try to understand the point.

In this case, two-tiered would be appropriate, and the reasoning is obvious, even if you don't like it

Yet, this is what must be done if we are to save the amazing culture of Thailand....and...also..

Our own sanity.

Some foks (incl. me) just don't like violence. I saw a lot of violence death, dismemberment during combat in Voetnam.

Much more recenlt my Thai son was at uni, he was the captain of thst uni's footbal (soccer) team. He was approached to join the Thai national rugby team and he did. The captaiin insisted he attend many training evenst and he did.

First game, within 5 minutes he was carried off the field, an opposing team member sought him out and very severly rammed his strong should nto my son's face causing many broken bones in his forehead, big damage to both eyes and big damage to his nose.

He was taken quickly be ambulance to a good hospital and I got to the hospital just after he had arrived. A hospital surgeon was at his bedside and already many photos including photos taken up through his nose. The surgeon indicated that he had many severe facial bone injuries but it could all be repaired. Five surgeries over the next 2 weeeks and 1 more week in hospital in convelencence.

Several new team mates from the national team visited him, they shared that several players / team officials said they had oveheard members of the opposing team mentioning my son was targeted to get dmanged in his first game.

My son very upset mostly because he was a devoted sportsman always mntioning fair play etc.

It took six months for the bones, especially inside his nose, to completely repair. His wife visited him eveyy day and so did I. His young daughter 18 mnths old was in tears all the time she was at the hospital with her mum. she lied on the bed alongside her daddy and held his hand.

it shocked me too, and I was privately relieved when he annouced 'no more rugby', in fact he never played any football ever again.

Later he talked to me about my experiences with human damage in Vietnam.

Pathetic Police

The cops here are great. Why risk injuring themselves over stupid foreigners?

Still better than the Aussie cops. 20 minutes of shooting and not a single cop returned fire? Too busy bashing old ladies for not wearing masks.

And thankfully Thai immigration is clamping down on the Indians, Chinese and Russians who cause great harm to the country . A few westerners  beating up a couple of Arabs is a nothing burger in comparison to what those other nationalities get up to .

it all adds up, right?

Police fined all participants 500 baht each for fighting in a public place.

was the pregnant woman charged 1000baht?

Beautiful family resort town at it again

Seems to be a lot of middle Eastern people around in the video the girl looks like she was pulled back and hit the ground by one of her own. Great advertising for tourists, looking like more of these people flooding into Pattaya and Phuket this season.

Maybe it's the weed and gold chains that attracts them. And the Lb's.

On Tai? During Songkran or national holidays maybe.

There are faster alternative routes into the guts of Pattaya. My usual route from the south is via Soi Batman, Bong Kotch and Chalerm Prakiat 18. That brings me out on Third, just north of Soi Pothole. Quick zig-zag down Lengkee and Diana and I'm on Second. Alternatives exist to bypass Klang and Nua as well, and I'm not on a scooter either.

Not on holidays but regularly 4 times a week to Mike's Shopping Mall at 12.30pm for table tennis.  Thanks for your suggested route; I'll check Google Maps.

I'm not living hand to mouth on a pension, two tier pricing in parks, hospitals or restaurants don't concern me.

I would have a problem with a 2 tier system of justice even though I have no personal involvement with the system.

If you think think convicted foreigners should cop 3 or 4 times a penalty than a citizen I think you have a warped sense of whats reasonable.

However, I do think a visitor's conviction for bad behaviour should attract stricter Immigration scrutiny and possible visa cancellation.  No country needs to host dicks from elsewhere.

Would you have a problem with it on principle, or ....? On principle I would understand although not agree. If the purpose of fines is to deter bad behavior, imposing an ineffective fine on those who have the means to pay more is useless and serves no purpose. So while I understand the principle I don't agree because such fines will not solve the problem
