3 in the morning. he was drunk out of his mind. anywhere in the world, being a cabbie picking up drunk people after hours is a tough way to make a living.

Just another bad brit showing his body and acting like an idiot when high on steroids.

Typical these kind of people..they can't control the mind.

These Benidorm Brits used to stick the Magaluf or Benidorm, now you see them everywhere in Thailand. They are just awful people, and stick out like sore thumbs.

The problem is the soft policing, and law - he will just pay the driver a little money, little to the police and he will be on his way. There is simply no detterent.

Why don't you see benidorm brits misbehave in Dubai or Singapore ? There is no corruption and the police and courts will punish you badly there. Even beniform brits know this.

Drugs are the problem and what is drawing the Benidorm brits to Thailand

1000 Baht compensation?

I guess if this happened in the UK GBP 25/- would suffice?

It did not happen in the UK, too cold for a motorcycle home.

Totally agree. Thailand needs to adopt a zero tolerance approach to foreign thugs like this. Equivalent of £1,000 fines or 6 months in jail no debate, and permanent ban. Advertise it with signs plastered all over the immigration areas at the airports. There is currently zero deterrent, carry on as is and Pattaya and Phuket will just cement themselves as the Asian equivalent of Spanish resorts attracting the violent drunks, putting off more regular tourists that they supposedly are desperate to attract.

I assume despite all the regular media blurb and police showboating ahead of high season, they basically don't care about addressing the issue

What is going to happen when he wants to pay fine with Credit card!🤣

Yeah baby, I am going to WS and show off my six pack and get all the ladies and ladyboys to want to give it to me for free...because I am a stud, I am a vapid Euro trash loser, who is very insecure and think that I can come here and get away with hitting a motorbike guy on NYE.

God, his parents must be so proud.

"He said he declined the ride after the passenger insisted on paying by credit card, which he could not accept and claimed he apologised repeatedly to the passenger.

Despite the apologies, Mr Phumin stated that the passenger became angry and suddenly punched him in the face several times."

Maybe that is what happened and maybe that ain't what happened, is all I am saying. I'm just saying...

Better to ban shirtless men and tattooed men

There should be a tattoo limitation.

Another shirtless quality tourist from UK .. 200 cm tall 100 kg muscles punched a 160 cm tall 60 kg thai guy .. yeah really tough. I hope they fine him and send him back home to the UK and ban him forever.

Why do these idiots come here? They create problems for themselves and make Thais believe that this is normal behavior for all foreigners. As far as I know, walking around without a shirt is actually illegal, but going around like that—especially in the evening—shows poor manners and a complete lack of style.

"After the assault, the suspect reportedly attempted to flee the area on foot. Bystanders nearby intervened and managed to restrain him until police arrived, preventing his escape."

So let me get this straight, it's 3 am on Walking street, the bolt driver declined the ride as he coud not accept credit card, 36 year-old baby adult rather than find an alternate way back decides to have a hissy fit and punches the driver and then does a runner. Who the hell does he thinks he is? Can't blame the booze he had his wits about him and physical ability to do a runner. He knew what he was doing was wrong and is a meance to society. This individual disgusts me!!! I hope he is jailed and his vacation ruined.

Never heard of them til now. I checked them for a flight date I had in mind and they were as dear as the big guys from London .

Pay for medical expenses, deport immediately and ban.

unless he is on overstay??

Doubt it at the moment, he probably entered Thailand on the basis of a 60-day visa exemption as a tourist. But, once all due legal processes have been concluded with the result that, all being well, he is banged up in solitary confinement in the Bangkok Hilton for a lengthy stretch with zero remission, he probably won't be permitted to set foot on hallowed LOS turf ever again.

Personally, I'd like to see him serve a lengthy stretch in solitary confinement in the Bangkok Hilton first.

Or his eventual ฿20,000 overstay fine once all due legal processes have been concluded?

Punch the police officer and do a runner? Not a chance, it will be all wais and appologies, and then a quick walk to the ATM machine with his credit card. As I said before, this individual disgusts me and is a menace to society.

This British tourist should be made to pay for the Thai person's medical bill's and then deport the tourist and ban him for 5 years, Pattaya city doesn't need thugs like him in Thailand

Spent all your cash on the lady drinks in the bars and to lazy to walk to ATM?

Still wish they would make this guys do public service. Pick up trash along the streets. Would help improve the cleanliness of the city and is sometimes better then sitting in a cell doing nothing?

They come here and think they are Peaky Blinders reinvented, being shirtless wasn't allowed not long ago, these freaks are trying to show off theirs gymn work, while full of gunga and booze and god knows what else they think Thailand is theirs to do what they want, hooligans attracted by the freely available drug's, since they put a drug shop on every corner where you can buy anything now not just annuitin medical bud.

Thailand has been degraded by this stupid unregulated frenzy off making money from drugs.

And the irony is they think they can fix it by free training to make operators, bud Dr's.

Here we have another drunken pom causing trouble in the prostitute capital of the world take him into a cell beat the crap out of him then deport him never to return

3.30am, Pattaya, Walking Stree=Trouble

A interesting place to be if sober. I wake early and would check it out often and the things that go down are extremely entertaining. Where I live now it is just spooky and quiet but I like.

Just another adrenaline junkie likely pumped up on steroids having come here for training in the marshall arts needing to find an innocent victim to practice his skills upon. The fact that he's not carrying any cash says a lot about him, most men carry at least a few hundred baht on them. Come on, he is gonna pay for a 60 baht bolt ride with a card, how do you hold your head up with some sort of pride after doing something like that?

Expect more from the low quality Brit tourists used to be Spain

As the main destination

now Thailand is the place to come Pattaya and Phuket look out 😱

biggrin If you have a Thai bank account. Sorry farang. Foreign credit cards not accepted.

To be fair, who expects a self employed motorbike rider to be able to accept a credit card?

There are restrictions on the merchants accepted for visa and Mastercard membership and somehow I don’t think a Thai motorbike rider fits that demographic profile.

Nailed it. Thailands reputation for easy women, easy drugs, cheapish booze, easy cannabis, lax policing etc etc, proceeds it and attracts just the type of tourists that you would expect.

And they aren’t limited to just Brits. This example is a Brit, but it’s other nationalities as well because every nationality has its low class individuals. Provide what they want and they will come in droves.

If I were the judge in his case :

1) 10000 baht minimum compensation to the driver

2) minimum 2 weeks stay in the local jail, no release until compensation is paid

3) upon release, police escort to airport for immediate expulsion from the country

4) a lifetime ban from Thailand. The UK could help by revoking his passport.

5) a free shirt

I have been in this country on and off for 39 years and I don’t remember so many of these useless <deleted> being here until fairly recently.
