Predator: Badlands.

It was very good. Lots of action and surprisingly some funny and clever dialogue by the girl. The first 10 minutes are a little slow but once he meets up with the girl the rest of the film is enjoyable. It was better than I expected.

Excellent series but a bit far fetched, how can anyone possibly get away with keeping a girl in captivity for about five years?

Finally got around to watching the 3 seasons of City on a Hill over the last few weeks. Well worth a watch. Somewhat reminiscent of The Wire, but definitely not a 9.?. More like 7.5.

The fourth season of Mayor of Kingstown was also good. The last few episodes were great.

If you're a Meatloaf fan (Which I am) avoid this like the plague... If you're a fan of sh!tty musicals at least the lyrics are good...

I have watched a couple of movies over the past few days and here is my opinion of them: –

The Rip: took me a bit of time to get into it in the early stages, but I persevered and all was well and it is one of those movies which is built around uncovering the "true" perpetrators of a would-be heist/corruption. Clever, engaging and ultimately satisfying!

Jay Kelly: I did read somewhere that a critic had said this was merely a vehicle to put George Clooney up for an Oscar nomination? It is not usually the type of movie I take to, however it was both intriguing and interesting in parts and I related it somewhat to my situation over the past few decades. It was described as, "famous movie actor Jay Kelly embarks upon a journey of self-discovery, confronting his past and present with his devoted manager Ron. Poignant and humour filled pitched at the intersection of regrets and glories". I enjoyed it, but not immensely, so am not sure that it would be Oscar material IMO.
