Criminal in Chief: Donald Trump

Trump and his enablers have violated U.S. law by killing people intentionally without legal justification or excuse. They have also violated International Law and committed war crimes.

Under Article 8 of the Geneva Convention, a “war crime” includes: willful killing; torture or inhuman treatment; willfully causing great suffering, or serious injury to body or health; extensive destruction and appropriation of property, not justified by military necessity and carried out unlawfully and wantonly; intentionally directing attacks against the civilian population as such or against individual civilians not taking direct part in hostilities; intentionally directing attacks against civilian objects, that is, objects which are not military objectives.

"Yes, it was precisely a description of destructive, high-control cults—the ones everyone actually means when they throw around the word 'cult' in serious conversations (Jonestown, NXIVM, Scientology's worst abuses).

Dictionaries give the broad, neutral definition ('any system of devotion' or 'small religious group'), which technically includes everything from ancient Roman mystery cults to a 'cult following' for a TV show.

By that loose standard, almost any fanbase or political movement could be called a cult, which makes the term meaningless.

When people accuse MAGA (or any political group) of being a 'cult', they're not using the dictionary version—they're invoking the expert, pejorative meaning: coercive, exploitative, isolating, inescapable. And that's the standard I applied.

If we water it down to the dictionary level, then sure, MAGA has a 'cult of personality' around Trump. But so did Obama, Reagan, JFK, and half the popular leaders in history.

Calling that a 'cult' is just rhetorical name-calling, not a meaningful accusation

So no contradiction, the criteria I listed are exactly what separate real dangerous cults from passionate politics.

MAGA fails them spectacularly."

How do you know that ‘everyone’ means only retrospective Jonestown-level cases when they use the word ‘cult’?

And not only will he blackmail Venezuela for billions, he'll control the loot himself, personally!

Trump is not only the most corrupt and the most criminal of all US presidents, he beats the president in second place by miles upon miles. He is a career criminal and I would venture to guess 90% of his fortune is ill gotten. The extent to which he is morally bankrupt is beyond reasonable description.

You think that every criminal has to go to jail? Really? Trump received punishment for his only conviction, did he not?

Only a few mentioned here. He is a criminal.

And only one of them carried a charge/conviction for which he received a sentence.

77 million Americans in this Idiocracy voted for this. End of Empire vibes where they elect a horse to the Senate. That's the most stunning fact they walk amongst us.

I do feel sorry for you and others like you because in effect you are supporting someone who: –

– Is a compulsive liar

– is a convicted felon (multiple felons)

– is a rapist

– stole $2.1 million from a children's charity

– is a multi-bankrupt

– walks into the changing rooms of teenage female contestants

– cheats on his wives

– has boasted that he grabs women by the pu$$y

– is responsible for the killing of Venezuelans and Cubans

– is accused of being a paedophile (with court papers filed on record)

– pardons a drug runner, whilst imprisoning another

– incited the January 6 riot on the capital building

– denigrated American war hero John McCain

– called America's dead soldiers, suckers and losers

– and you can add to this all of those points which have been made by another poster, @Schoggibueb .

So you have proven yourself to be someone who supports the poor excuse for a human being mentioned above (Trump) and in which case I and probably many other posters on here have no respect whatsoever for you or your posts and I hold you in the lowest possible esteem.

America is going to collapse and quicker than you can ever imaine - as Proefessor Niall Ferguson says civilisarion is like an ant hill - one kick and it's over - Trump is an accelerant poured over the dying Empire. Get out of dollars whilst you can. Gold priced in dollars is a one way bet at the moment. When Russia invaded Ukarine I feared WW3 and rmebered that Jews with gold got out of Nazi Germany. I went hugely long on physical gold back then and I held. Best decision I have ever made.

I don't claim that literally every single person restricts "cult" to only Jonestown/NXIVM extremes—people use the word loosely all the time (e.g., "Apple fans are a cult," "that gym is culty").

I was in a cult, still am..watching Seinfeld absolutely has a cult following—in the best, most harmless way possible!

What I meant is: In serious, substantive discussions—especially when accusing a large political movement like MAGA of being a "cult"—the term almost always implies the dangerous, coercive, high-control type that experts study and warn about.

(Here, "everyone" was just a casual expression for "virtually anyone using it as a genuine criticism," not a claim of universality.) That's the version that carries real moral and psychological weight.

Why?

  • Casual or hyperbolic uses ("cult classic," "cult of personality") are obviously not accusations of harm.

  • When someone says "X is a cult" to delegitimize or express alarm about a group (political, religious, or otherwise), they're borrowing the pejorative expert connotation: manipulation, exploitation, isolation, inability to leave—the stuff that ruins lives.

  • No one seriously worries that Star Wars fans or CrossFit enthusiasts are in a "cult" in the same way they worry about Scientology's Sea Org or the Peoples Temple.

In the MAGA context specifically, critics who use the label are rarely saying "it's just a fandom"—they're implying something sinister and controlling. That's why the expert criteria (BITE model, etc.) are the relevant benchmark here, not the broad dictionary one that would make every passionate group a "cult."The key isn't literal universality—it's the implied gravity of the accusation in political discourse that invokes the high-control definition. If someone is just joking or exaggerating lightly, the bar is much lower. But when the term is meant seriously as a warning, the destructive traits are what come to mind.

Thank you...

  • Hosted dozens of foreign, federal, and state officials at Mar-a-Lago, helping enrich Trump.

  • Hosted a GOP retreat at another one of Trump’s resorts.

  • Circumvented the normal contracting process to pick a company with close ties to Trump’s former campaign manager.

  • Awarded a $30 million ICE contract to Trump insider Peter Thiel.

  • Continued developing new Trump properties overseas, including in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

  • Hatched a plan for the State Department to pay Tesla $400 million dollars.

  • Accepted a $4 million inauguration donation from a GOP megadonor and nominated him as UK ambassador the same day.

And Donald Trump took actions that could advance the personal interests of his co-president Elon Musk:

  • Fired EEOC leaders investigating and suing Tesla.

  • Illegally fired the NLRB Chair, which filed a complaint against SpaceX.

  • Gutted CFPB staff and fired the Director after they investigated complaints against Musk’s companies.

They howl because they have a hell of a lot to howl about against the gigantic financial grafter that TRUMP has always been and always will be.

And now he is a world destabiliser just to appease his "bedfellow" Putin and to add to his financial portfolios.

Let's not forget that Jack Smith said he had proof beyond a reasonable doubt that Trump engaged in a criminal scheme to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

All he wants is to be allowed to prove it in a court of law, but trump's tame judge (Cannon) and Trump's personal law firm (DOJ) are doing all they can to delay it.

  • Filed a meritless lawsuit against 60 Minutes and launched a baseless FCC investigation.

  • Tried to get the AP to bend the knee and kicked them out of the White House briefing room when they refused.

  • Hired Defense Secretary Hegseth’s younger brother to serve in a key role.

  • Hired a longtime former partner of Don Jr. to serve as Ambassador to Greece.

  • Nominated Jared Kushner’s father to serve as Ambassador to France.

  • Selected Tiffany Trump’s father-in-law to serve as an adviser.

  • Appointed an oil and gas executive to lead the Department of Energy.

  • Selected a Chief of Staff who was a big-time lobbyist for clients like tobacco and mining companies.

  • Named officials who had recently lobbied for oil and chemical giants to help write E-P-A rules.

  • Appointed Mehmet Oz, who has close ties to Medicare Advantage insurers, to lead CMS to set payment rates and otherwise help out Medicare Advantage insurers.

Lock him up...

God this stuff is tedious and boring. Yawn.

Musk did do something. A team including Musk stopped the election steal before it had even started. That's why it was all over in a matter of hours. The lefties weren't given a chance to cheat but they tried.

In the coming months all voting in the US will go to same day voting, paper ballots, in precinct counting, mail in votes will be scrapped apart from genuine cases and there will be NO voting machines.

Trump will also be conducting a new census where only US citizens will be counted.

If there are more than 10% of Dems left I will be very surprised.

Trump won $16 million dollars from one of the media companies who said he was a rapist as it wasn't true. You need to go and lie down in a dark room for a week or two. You might get better but I have doubts.
