Was this justified?

After almost 2 pages, TedG has at the least gave cause for justification, but being that Trump always has to be the smartest man in the room, I think it was just an unexpected side effect. This would be the first time, if it was pre-planned that Trump has gone against Putin.

I suppose that the argument will be made that these people were defending Maduro. But given that various military bases were bombed, I doubt that's entirely true. And given that Maduro was abducted on

Putin have hurt his ego! Taken advantage of him, and ridiculed him in front of the whole world, so what do you expect?

By overthrowing Maduro, President Trump dealt a humiliating blow to Vladimir Putin

It's true.

However, Ukraine is a much better prize for Putin than Venezuela. He can use the case of Venezuela to justify his claim of a NATO/US threat to Russia. He can also argue that if the US is entitled to to usevforce in its sphere of influence on the American continent, so is Russia in Europe.

Cuban military set up shop in Venezuela and kept Maduro in power. If it was alright for the Cubans to be operating in the country and managing a puppet state, one can argue that the USA had an interest of getting rid of it.

Nonsense. Maduro couldn't trust his own military not to betray him for the reward. They would also have been rewarded with a bullet, of course. No puppet states. Just a loan of soldiers to a friendly state just as the US does in all its overseas bases.

This is another reason for the USA to leave Europe. Its best for the noble people of Europe to decide how to deal with Russia.

You can’t deal with Trump made it harder for Putin to sell oil.

The problem is the timeline. It will take around 10 years to replace US military protection.

Personnaly, I agree to it, but it must be realistically planned.

A related issue is nuclear proliferation in Europe to replace the US umbrella, as it is the only way to really protect countries other than France and UK.

Given the demonstrably aggressive nature of Putin's Russia and the fact that despite Trump's bizarre hostility to them, they actually are allies to the US, I would be opposed. What levels of troops belong there, I don't know.

It just seems that they some people don’t know all that Trump has done for Putin, I don’t know if Fox News and the like report the things that Trump says in Putins favor. I mean after a closed door meeting one on one, he comes out and says that he believes Putin over our own intelligence people. To me it’s very easy, but I read a lot, not just one source, and I read what he says, not what someone think he says.

The good news is Trump just made Putins life harder. BTW, do you know the US has been directing the Ukraine attacks on Russian oil infrastructure?

I think you're confusing their feelings about Trump with their feelings about the USA. Contrary to popular right wing beliefs, Trump is not America and America is not Trump.

I wonder how people would react if China invaded the White House, kidnapped Trump and brought him back to Beijing for trial?

It would seem like he is setting that sort of precedent.

I know Ukraine only target legitime targets cleared by weapon suppliers meaning USA and EU! This because they risk not getting supplies if they bomb wrong targets.

Ukraine is in the hands of USA and EU, and have no free will to target civilians as Putin does.

Stupid war if you ask me, and People like Putin and others justifies loss of humans is ridiculous. Don't worry, Trump is there to, no regrets, just excuses and causes.

75-100 People killed, how can this be justified?

Small number compared to the number killed from fentanyl. So what’s your moral preference, thousands of young gullible naive kids experimenting and toying with lethal drugs coming from other countries and overdosing, or a few dead culprits?

You really don’t get it. Ukraine was hitting oil storage. The Trump admin told Ukraine to go after the processing units and give them the intel to make this happen. They also give Ukraine the intel of where the Russian air defenses were located. Trump did this.

Okay, I get it. How long did it take them ? Before or after Putin humiliated your brilliant president his highness?

Can you back up your claim?

I think Cuba said 32 of its forces were there. So the others would presumably be Venezuelans. I think the US struck three of four locations - part of the usual distraction tactics I guess - while they went in to grab the main prize.

Seems you only interested in you view and understanding of the matter.

Ukraine was given green light to hit targets inside Russia with their weapons before Trump took place in the seat, and already depended on Intel given from Us, Nato and EU members.

This have been a long ongoing process

UK gives Ukraine green light to use British weapons inside Russia

Ukraine can use British-supplied weapons to strike targets inside Russia, UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron stated during a May 2 visit to Kyiv. “Ukraine has that right,” Cameron told Reuters. “Just as Russia is striking inside Ukraine, you can quite understand why Ukraine feels the need to make sure it’s defending itself.”

Better Trump out of Washington. NATO is a key alliance and the EU a critical trading partner. Trump is actively destroying those relationships to benefit Russia.

It doesn’t seem like anyone is questioning why killing almost 100 people was justified to capture one person.

Because it's SOP for special forces like Delta Force and the Seals to literally murder anyone within the vicinity of their target. They went after the Muduros so bodyguards, government staff, housekeepers, gardeners, drivers, and anyone unfortunate to be in the area are just considered "collateral damage." Shoot anyone and every one.

"So sad, too bad" as far as the US Administration is concerned.
