Boxer Shorts

Do you wear them?

P.S. Posting for a friend who is locked in his mum's basement in Oz.

I don't wear shorts in Thailand.

When I first arrived in Thailand, I read somewhere that locals frown upon wearing shorts.

In fact, some time ago, I think I posted a Topic on TV, concerning just this very issue.

So, is it acceptable to wear shorts in Thailand?

For me, no it is not.

It is a must for Muay Thai. No nudity allowed in the ring.

I have always pictured you wearing a pair of Y fronts on your head with two pencils stuck up your nose as if it is totally normal.

Bit like Blackadder. Or in your case, Slackbladder.

Do you think he has any genetic relation to either of them?

One of them is definitely HarrisFan. My only reservation in saying that is I very much doubt he has a friend.

A bit like those italian males on the beach wearing those 1976 tight speedos 🤣

You obviously cannot distinguish between Boxer shorts ie undergarments, and leisure shorts ie tailored, cargo etc.

A link to where you read about Thais frowning on shorts would be an explanation. Thanks.

The article was in one of those facts about Thailand articles, concerning what to wear in various settings, and in the mornings, afternoons, and evening wear.

I cannot find my own article on TV, and my views supporting the non-wearing of shorts in public.

Be respectful when dressing, is the watchword.

I just go commando and wear 'fisherman's' pants.........nice n cool fully adjustable......

Known, I believe in Australia, as "budgie smugglers"!

Edit: I really ought to read the whole thread before posting shouldn't I?

The question in the OP of this topic is do you wear boxer shorts as part of your daily attire or some other form of undergarment such as briefs, DJT approved adult diapers, g-sting underwear, or?

I prefer boxers for daily wear, but do wear briefs under Muay Thai shorts.

Blackadder the first had an imposing codpiece called the Black Russian. "It always terrifies the clergy!"

Thankyou that is a great post. Thanks for the laugh as well.

Commando normally. But I wear boxers when flying since accidents can happen.

...like the slightly pished young lady next to me on the SFO-NRT-BKK flight who knocked her wee bottle of red over my pants.

Twice.

I washed the legs of my Dockers in the dunny, wrung them out and put them back on wet, but I cocooned my legs in a couple of blankets for the duration of the flight. Comfortably damp by the time I changed planes in Narita, dry as a bone at Bangkok.
