Does this forum provide a "community service"

I am hesitant to use the word *disability " as in most countries we need to be politically correct, I know the word "handicapped " is banned in my country Australia for example

But I may ask you kind gentleman , do you think this forum provides an outlet and service to those with some kind of disability whether that be mental physical addiction etc

.some may not be able to live without this interaction, would I perhaps be correct ?

I remember a few months ago when I was in Pattaya walking through the dark corridors of the Flybird Condominium and looking through the room doors to see old men with alcohol etc logged on the ASEAN forum

I asked them as I stuck my head into their rusted wire screen doors , are you on the ASEAN forum ?

Most nodded yes

What a fantastic service this forum provides

I know there's bedridden, housebound members here and thankyou guys

I can bet

I feel they have a "family" when they are alone in those 21sqm sweatbox rooms in the flybird condominium and the Nirun when they are logged onto the AsEAn forum with other "family"

We are their "family " and they no longer feel lonely

I feel to be woke we need to be called family instead of "members"

Staggering.

If you're going to answer your own question, why bother posting it?

So then what is the point of mentioning disabilities? What difference does it make? Your posts are quite strange, so I guess you are referring to yourself.

The term "handicapped" is deeply offensive and should be banned.

Outdated and Offensive: It is viewed as archaic, disrespectful, and demeaning to people with disabilities.

Connotes Pity: The term is often associated with the image of a person begging with "cap in hand," implying a passive recipient of charity rather than an active member of society.

Incorrect Definition: The word is frequently misused as a synonym for disability. A handicap is properly understood as the limitation imposed by an inaccessible environment, not an inherent trait of a person.

Implies Inability: It emphasizes what a person cannot do, whereas modern language focuses on accessibility and inclusion.

The proper term is "person with a disability" (people-first language) or "disabled person" (identity-first language).

You are given free reign to post your nonsense so yes, yes the forum does provide an outlet for those with mental illness.

I can't work out from this post and many others of yours whether you are taking the piss or are a complete knob.

Please clarify.

Thanks in advance.

do you think this forum provides an outlet and service to those with some kind of disability whether that be mental physical addiction etc

You nailed it, most here have a mental physical addiction.

Spending every hour of the day on these forums keeps them off the streets.
