Just wishing the headlines in the World News Forum didn't contain an exclamation mark at the end of nearly every headline.

Not every piece of news is earth shattering, imo it diminishes the impact of the headline.

Jus saying!

!Who cares?!

It’s just a text on an electronic device!

Enjoy!

Death by a thousand exclamation marks.

Mind over matter is incorporated into survival of the fittest to the finest detail, your ancestors brought you this far - so don’t give up now lest you put your lineage at risk.

True, it's mind over matter. I don't mind and you don't matter.

No, that's not right, I apologise.

I'll try to stop reading the headline just before I reach the exclamation mark. To help myself initially, I'll place a ruler vertically down the page at the predicted position of the mark.

That is if the mods turn a deaf ear to my pleas.

I'd rather they got rid of the "Key Takeaways" in all the news topics. They contribute nothing.

I guess they help lazy readers.

What with World News, What the Papers Say, and Political Soapbox, there's certainly an abundance of news items these days, often leading to overlaps. It's great the readers can start topics but I wonder if What the Papers and Soapbox could be combined.

And have a hide option for those, and a separate hide option for anything in the world news section and a 100% ban on anything political outside of those forums. Things seem to leak out everywhere.
