Irrespective on who is to blame in this incident the whole thing should be analysed correctly and the miscreants dealt with on an individual basis. There are generally enough cameras around to determine who has done what. A blanket fine for all involved is just lazy police work. It really is time acts of violence such as this are dealt with hard.

Troops is Troops and Chavs is Chavs, most of those are only capable of snarling or posturing and could not punch their way out of a wet paper bag, and generally do start walking backwards when the real trouble starts, However there are some who love fighting , who don't care if they win or lose, and who are very capable of delivering a seriously good hiding when provoked and or drunk or both

Whoever came up with the 1000 baht fine has given some bad reputational damage.

That is outrageous lenient for such terrible behaviour. It's about the price of two pints of beer in the UK.

It's now making news in some UK media outlets.

Rightly local Thai's are appalled.

Whilst i do understand the law works differently in Thailand, by giving a 1000 baht fine you simply allow this behaviour to continue, it is of no detterent.

And before you say it's foreigners on foreigners, the reputational damage to Thailand is there as the videos are shared all over social media.

There is something very wrong with British culture at the moment. Very bad attitude by all demographics of their people, and such appalling behaviour. Respect other culture and country you are visiting

That is very likely since it is being severely contaminated with conflicting other cultures. As one who came from the Baby Boomer generation what we now deliver to these shores is alien to me.
