Bolt app links to your bank account, so no cash is required.

Very unusual that a market or roadside vendor doesn’t have their banking details available to enable them to receive payments electronically, if so, get them their cash from a nearby vendor - as already explained.

I think you're just being awkward, and either don't travel throughout thailand, or you are just full of "brown stuff."

Photos of Thai licences on your phone are accepted. My Australian licence (NSW) is now digital, maybe not in your State. Every fruit and veg market in Thailand has a QR code displayed or on their banking app - if not (which I have once in 5 years in Thailand) buy something from a nearby shop and buy some cash from them as well to give to the ‘cash only’ shop.

Looked at digital licences, will have the wait for a thai friend to help, it's all in thai.

When someone runs out of genuine examples, they usually pivot to personal attacks — which is exactly what you’ve done here.

I’ve travelled extensively throughout Thailand for many years, across major cities and regional areas, and my point stands: cash is no longer required in the way it once was.

Pointing to the occasional market stall that chooses to accept cash only doesn’t change that reality. “Cash-only by preference” is not the same thing as “cash is required”.

If you have a specific, current example where cash is genuinely mandatory — not based on habit, convenience, or a single stall — feel free to post it.

Otherwise, attacking my travel history or personality just confirms you’ve lost the argument.

The Department Of Land Transportation in Barnglamung ( Pattaya)

requires cash only for driving licence payments..not sure about other payments for the other 'services' they provide.

I’m aware of those situations. They’re infrequent, and easily handled by a quick contactless ATM withdrawal when needed. They don’t justify carrying cash day-to-day.

Samsonite man bag crossbody where I got Ipad, passport, credit cards, charger, Bluetooth headphone transmitter for in seat connection while flying, and other necessary items for travelling. Small bag of Wet wipes most likely, reading glasses. Some reserve cash Nok and Baht.

I very rarely wear man bag unless I'm flying somewhere.

I always wear these when flying .....

When you can bring what you need in a man bag and do not need to bring a back pack? What do you choose? We Scandinavians are famous for hour back packs and wearing the everywhere we go, but I prefer a slim man bag across my chest when I can.

ahhh yes,, I see the short pants with sox and sandals and the back packs all the time in Hua Hin.. just don't understand the need for them to always be singing ..

And as I go, I love to sing,
My knapsack on my back.

Val-deri,Val-dera,

Val-dera-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha

My knapsack on my back.

Funny, I'm not there yet, but who knows when times is up!

By the way, I'm using socks in my flip flops at the farm, especially when the mornings are freezing cold. But that's another story

I'm not going out in public, but in the old days, socks in Tevas sandals, was normal when we skydived in Florida during January! Cold in the mornings there to.

I have one now. Goes everywhere. More pockets than a family of kangaroos. Had one in UK so my Nephew duly annointed me "Aunty"

Your "travel" history does not reflect the fact you still, at times, need cash...so stop you bullcrap.

This has reached the point where you’re arguing vibes, not facts.

“Sometimes you still need cash” ≠ “cash is required”.

If that’s the strongest counter-argument available, I’m comfortable leaving it there.

Why would anyone need to 'justify' carrying cash?

Can you name the shopping malls??

I've yet to come across a vendor in Thailand who doesn't have any form of bank transfer, even if they want... cash only.

Just ‘Sangkha’? That’s a whole district. Which market, which vendor, and how do they operate without a bank account?”

You need to be more honest.

I get the feeling you simply are a very lonely kid, or you simply lack friends...

I the future I will not teply to you...have a good life.

Market Village has 150 shops.

You’ve named exactly zero vendors.

That’s not evidence — that’s trolling.

Name one vendor that doesn’t accept bank transfer or QR.

Still waiting…

You asserted a daily need for cash, but couldn't provide a single example to support it.

Personal insults aren't evidence - they're a substitute when evidence is missing.

Bye, loser.

You got the answer, to you question, let me remind you of what you asked.

"Can you name the shopping malls??

Did you notice the very first line, of your own comment? 555, how embarrassing.

Great to see that you have returned for more punishment and embarrassment.

Still waiting for the name of the vendor with no bank account and no QR… or have you given up on that BS, loser?

I'm waiting for an apology, from you accusing me of not answering your question.

Anyway, the vendors are the small IT kiosks, on level 3, admittedly, I have not tried all of them but that is irrelevant to my comments...also, the local food market, some vendors also, only cash...

I will await your apology.
