Entirely my fault to a degree as have been unwell in UK since last June with 6 hospital visits and it kinda took a back seat...having nearly recovered am sorting out all the neglected issues

Its gone off the network but I dont know exactly when......diary entry I've just found from December last saying "advance validity" so am surmising pretty soon after

Its not the end of the world but dont want a tourist sim that expires month by month if I can avoid it

It depends how long your Sim card was inactive and not topped up in value. After a certain period, it might be that your number was sold to a new customer. In this case there is no chance to get it again in your name.

Well knowing how I normally operate the entry was 7th December in diary to add validity so probably I'd have left couple weeks grace so probably 2 months now

I'm not overly bothered about losing the number just the fact it was old style non tourist Sim and I could apply different packages as I wanted and push validity forward for 1 year

If losing the number bears no huge significance, just let it go and get a new number.

All non-Tourist SIM work that way. They only way to know if you can revive the SIM, is to contact Customer Service. The grace period may be as little as 45 days after validity expires.

Have the SIM card to hand, as they'll need the long number printed on it.
