Software Download Computer shop?

Featured Replies

I have a Dell Latitude laptop & want to download Windows 10 (with key/license from Microsoft) & Microsoft Office Professional Plus (2021) also from Microsoft, with license/key, unopened.

Suggestions for a computer shop? I'm close to what was Kad Kuan Saew mall on Huay Kaew Road. Thanks!

Actual version is W11 (W10 is out of life) , and you can download it by yourself, then buy a license key. If you mean a shop to install Windows, you will find maybe some in Icon on the back of the ex Computer Plaza. Also Dell service center can surely help you.

Office is a cloud license now. You don't buy the program.

So until we are not really sure about what you want to do .... not easy to help.

Download W10 is easy.

You don't need a computer shop for this, very likely such places don't even exist anymore. You can get everything you need off the internet.

If the OP's Dell Latitude is older than around 2018, it may not support WII.

If the OP's Dell Latitude is newer and DOES support W11, and it's a W10 "comfort " factor, it is time to get comfortable with W11.

As for Office 2021, that's new enough and still supported.

Most laptops less than fifteen years old can install Windows 11, supported until at least October 2027.

But yes, it makes sense to get 10, then to upgrade if they want..

Office 2021 goes EOL in October 2026. Office LTSC 2024 in October 2029.

I wasn't clear. I bought Windows 10; I own it in disk form A computer tech suggested I purchase it and Office. I'm not a computer tech, so I wondered if a shop in Ch Mai could download these programs for me? I don't think a Dell place would be interested because it has Linux OS now, not what it started with I found several places in the US who were happy to do the downloads, but I thought Ch Mai would be a better place; spend money locally. Maybe I should get it done in the States? Prices range from $125-175. I hope this makes more sense.

I can't understand why anyone would want to use any version of Windows. Dammit, I'm 78 and have no problems using Linux (Ubuntu).

The confusion arose due to your use of incorrect terminology. The term is install, rather than download.

Usually around 300 to 500 baht for a shop to do it in Thailand.

Random find for in-home service: https://chiangmaicomputer.com

Otherwise just find a place close to you. It's a routine task.
