Kl Hotels

Featured Replies

Can anyone recommend a budget-mid level hotel in KL in a decent area for Thai embassey and also decent area for nightlife, food drinks etc.

cheers

Crown Princess, five mins walk from the embassy, it's a 'business' hotel and not particularly cheap or near nightlife.

Try the Swiss Inn on Petaling Street, right in the buzz of Chinatown but a taxi or LRT ride from the embassy.

I've stayed at both, both were just fine.

Quite a few places on Bukit Bintang, I stayed at the Cardogan last week which was ok (1,200bt). No need to book just have a look around the area when you get there. Many similar hotels. Don't stay at the Agora though unless you've got earplugs as its next door to a nightclub.

Easy to get there from the airport, just get the bus to the Sentral transport terminal in town then hop on the monorail.

Plenty of shops and places to eat and a few bars but I dont think anywhere in KL is exactly Soddom and Gommorah. Just don't go in Finnigans Irish Bar - 280bt for a Tiger Beer, 90bt elsewhere!, thankfully I paid straight away rather than running up a tab and having half a dozen before I found out the price.....

100bt for a 10 minute taxi ride to the embassy in the morning.
