See you've become a croc again mister cuddly monster...

Yes Patsy, the overheated, cuddly koala sitting in the bucket of water, just didn't seem to fit my image. :o

Wasn't the koala actually intended to represent croc food? (Meals on paws.)

Just don't eat too much, Crockers! You might get high...

(mmmhhh.... Kayo ponders moving to Koala-land... )

They just hang about in trees munching on gum leaves, and p1ssing on anyone foolish enough to walk beneath them.

Hhere you go hon! :D

(the quote marks were correct, but then take the vdo link as it was:

htt p:// www . youtube . com/watch?v=y8Kyi0WNg40

and elimiate all but the code AFTER the "=" sign

so then you get

{Youtube}y8Kyi0WNg40{/youtube}

(different brackets used for instuction only - normally it would be "[]" "[]")

Lesson over - let's take it from Eek's post:

Oh..What will happen next..?! :o

Oh tnx! :D :D :D

..and congratulations on the baby niece!

But that Koala was the famous one they got out of the bush fires.

Yes, he's getting around in Bollé sunglasses and Saville Row fur now that he's had his 15 minutes of fame...

I do watch the news occasionly and he popped up in my brain cell as being one very lucky beast.

I thoght Raybans were still the best?

Must get out more - Bollé Bollé

Barbecued Koala... I thought Crocs liked their meat raw ( and preferably virginal...)

Actually, Patsy, a news report on telly said that the guy who rescued it is being prevented from visiting it by lawyers acting on its behalf. (Seriously!)

Gawd knows what that's about - probably be something in the (online) paper, when I can be bothered having a read...

Wow. It's been a while.

So, ermm, I haven't been on the boards much lately.

I was helping a friend try to get her Pub empire off the ground. for a while.

We're no longer friends.

And her empire in the making is starting to fall down.

SOm nom na for her.

French Gal and I are stronger than ever.

That's now been over a year and a half. Last week we moved together, into a lovely little maisonette in Suburbia, Cambridge.

It's all getting rather serious, and Hefferlump is slowly being domesticated, housetrained. The lady has many virtues, but her patience is remarkable. As a result, I feel she should be rewarded by having a man who tries to stay somewhat more sober. SO I'm now staying out of bars (mostly) and instead of working in Pubs, now do random, non-alcohol-related jobs around town.

She's proving to be my saving grace.

More to follow, now that I have a quiet little den in the new place, and more (sober) time to write.

Kind regards, to my friends and acquaintances on these boards I have barely trod lately.

KO! :)

Ahhhh :)

Best of luck with it Kayo. Amazing what can be done in the name of love.

Keep on going to the end of the road!!!

Kayo, you haven't finished your first novel yet and are now writing a . . . Harlequin romance? :D

I read pages one and two . . . then peaked at page twenty to see if there was an ending yet . . . only to find a nature treatsie on koala bears? Is this the same book or have you started a third (in the middle of the second)? I'm confused. :)

In any case, I must read on. Fell soundly asleep after page three. Will pick it up again tomorrow. I must find out the connection between the heart throb flatmate and the koala bear. Or the Danish girl and the koala bear. Or is it the French chick and the koala bear?

Sadly the koala was euthanized. She had chlamydia which is endemic among koalas. She had survived the bushfires but already had extensive damage to her kidneys due to the disease. She was operated on after receiving antibiotic treatment. The vet tried to Save her but decided it was a more humane option to put her down while already under anaesthetic.

oh yes, fyi Koalas are not edible in reply to Seugha's question, the eat gum leaves and their flesh is strongly tainted by the oil.

So you can use them as a rub for rheumatism?

^ no, but you can rub up against them, if you're feeling that way. :)

goanna oil is much better - only animal apart from a Collingwood supporter to have enough fat to cook itself over a fire (true fact - well the first part about the goanna is anyway)

Back in the old days when I wrote for Australian Motorcycle News I started a campaign to save the Neat from extinction. They used their feet to make oil for waterproofing jackets etc. I had the motorcycle community divided on the issue. Made a great April issue of the mag.

So, ermm.... I officially proposed to my girlfriend, on the 19th December.

She said, 'Yes'.

Then offered her a white-gold ring with 11 individual 18k diamonds embedded

Wedding dates to be established later.

regards,

klown.

wow, congratulations Klown & fiancee :)

Well, well, well. And another one bites the dust. All hardened, self proclaimed eternal batchelors eventually give in when the right woman comes along. Or the wrong womans father has a bloody big shotgun :D

All the very best Kayo :)

Congratulations !!

And all this time I thought it was Kayo with the big shotgun.

Looking forward to the lady's arrival on TV, after all, as a married couple it's share everything, past posts included.

Hmmm...11 x 18k = 198 carats of diamonds. This must be serious.....and the bar business pays a lot better than I thought.

:)
