Thai Air Asia increase load factor on Phuket-Singapore route.

Thai Air Asia informed Andaman News that it is confident its load factor on the Phuket-Singapore route will reach over 80% in the next three to four months. The airline opened the route in November last year and has since then seen a steady increase in its load factor from over 60% to over 70%. Thai Air Asia chief executive officer said they are strongly confident in the Phuket-Singapore tourism market and expect it to grow stronger. A tremendous increase in traffic should come with the airline’s aggressive marketing of the route and the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s support. Already, the route is getting more attention from travelers from both Singapore and Phuket. Thai Air Asia’s low fares and continuing fleet upgrade are attracting more guests who shuttle between the business environment of Singapore and the island attractions of Phuket. Phuket is a favorite tourist destination of Singaporeans, who enjoy the island paradise’s beaches, seafood, vibrant night entertainment and great shopping districts. Holiday makers in Phuket fly to Singapore mostly for business and to shop for the latest electronic gadgets.
