Phuket teenager ‘ Kam’ Wichayanee Peagrin, 19, was the first female contestant to win The Star contest on Thai TV held in Bangkok, and returned to Phuket on Monday to thank her supporters. She came with two of the participants, ‘Ton’ Chayatorn Setchinda and ‘Mc’ Jirayui Kantayos. They also visited our NBT studio to thank management and staff for support. The group were greeted and congratulated by NBT Phuket Director Wanpen Upton. After giving an interview in Thai to thank supporters and comfort those of her age who failed to enter university entrance, Kam sang a song in English for us:

Earlier in the morning Nong Kam and the two others went to Bangkok Hospital in Phuket where her mother works and gained enormous support from management and staff there. Despite the rain, all three stars got in an open-top vehicle to go around town to thank and greet the public. They also performed at a concert at Saphan Hin ground in the evening.
