I have just paid off my two year Zero interest lease for my excellent Nissan Tiida from Nissan Leasing Co., Ltd, plus a transfer fee of 2,000 Baht as they "required", and got a letter from them together with two legal forms:

1. Letter of attorney

2. Owner transfer form

Both are plain standard forms.

They want those forms filled in plus copies of:

1. Sales contract

2. Final payment receipt from bank

3. Copy of leasee Thai Id card (my Thai wife)

In this case I plan to be the new owner, not my wife. Is it a requirement to first transfer the vehicle to the wifey or can the car be transferred to me directly.

I could scan in the forms here if you like.

Or is the vehicle supposed to be transferred FIRST to my wife first (the lesee) spelling? and then to me in next step, for another fee?

Thanks in advance for any ideas and clarification. These finance guys doesn't (want to) speak Parsa Angkrit.

Cheers

George
