Penang?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Are there any visa run services that go to Penang from Phuket or just regular bus services that go to Hat Yai where I can catch a Penang run?

I live in Pattaya, and prefer to fly from U-Tapao to Phuket rather than drive all the way to Bangkok.

Thanks :o

why not fly direct to Hat Yai ?? Is that route not stil easy ??

There are a few Phuket -> Penang busses but not as common.. NJ Books guys (in Penang visa agents) know of them and can organise both ways..

Fly to Had Yai, then it's a 300B 4 hour bus trip to Georgetown, it;s about 850B for a VIP bus Phuket Town to Penang but it's about 10 hours on the bus.....

NJ books are recommended.

HI,

I can't fly direct from U-Tapao to Hat Yai, but I can to Phuket. Are there bus or train lines going from Phuket to Hat Yai?

erm... did I stutter ??

There are a few Phuket -> Penang busses (AC mini bus) but none going from the airport and probably only one or two a day (early and night)..

NJ Books knows the schedules and can organise them but as you will have to fly and then connect down to the bus (possibly wait overnight) then take a LONG bus ride its not an easy journey and might tough to do without a stopover on route..

Why not connect BKK - Hat Yai or even look at cnnecting to Penang.
