MiniVDO: The Phuket Airport plans to re-regulate the meeting place for passengers and hotels or limousine services and establish a security centre at the arrival terminal.

The Deputy Director of Phuket International Airport Sutheep Saensiriphan told the meeting of head officials yesterday that the airport is preparing to set up a security centre for passengers at the arrival hall. He said they want to re-regulate and tidy up the meeting points between passengers and hotels buses or cars drivers who pick up the passengers. He pinpoints the group who show signs of passengers’ names or the hotel’s names saying that they cause chaos or sometimes disturb passengers. The security centre is scheduled to be set up in September. The airport will call a meeting with representatives from hotels and public transport services to explain its policy and those who collect passengers must report their offices to the airport. Violators will face fines of 50 – 2,000 baht he concluded.
