Everywhere you go in the world you meet the Irish. The greatest diaspora ther's ever been...

Even when you meet an American, some proclaim with their thick southern drawl "Im Irish" ! (or in my case, often they say "Im Scottish too")

(My American Inmates, why do quite a lot of Americans do that? Or has it just been my experience. Or is it just that it really is kind of confusing. Ie: if they were born to two Irish or Scottish parents.

I was born in Scotland, to a half English/half Italian father(born in Scotland) and an half Scot/half Irish mother(born in Scotland), so im Scottish..but brought up in a very Italian environment.

My brothers kids were born in Argentina, to an Argentine mother and a Scottish father, so they are Argentine, right? Even if both the parents were Scottish, the kids would still be Argentine, right?

So...if western parents have a child in Thailand, then the child is Thai, right? Even if blond and blue-eyed (and even if cannot speak Thai when they get older). Or does it come down to where you register your child? If a western child is born here (Thailand) are they allowed to be registered here?
