Featured Replies

Live North West of BKK, there appears to be 100's of new cars on the road this week every 5th or 6th car has red plates.

Is there some super deal on? yesterday in the 10 min drive from my house to the main road 7km, noticed 11 new Honda City + 12 other cars and 9 trucks, this is just a small country road !! on the main road to 'Big C' 5 km there were again loads of red plates..

One the way back stopped in our Road at Tesco Express there are 15 parking places, 12 had vehicles in 8 of the 12 had red plates...

Possibly lots of people getting their "13th month" of salary bonus and blowing it in one go on a downpayment!

Proton managed 863 bookings at the 25th Thailand International Motor Expo held this month (December), which is the sixth highest amount of orders received at the event among the other car manufacturers with an exhibit at the show.

Thailand's "national car manufacturer" Toyota held the top spot of course, with 4,193 bookings. This was followed by Honda in second place with 2,552 orders, Isuzu with 1,760 orders, Chevrolet with 1,194 orders and Nissan with 1,008 orders. Total orders gained for all manufacturers at the show is 14,000 orders, which included brands like Mitsubishi (756 orders), Mazda (767 orders), Ford (301 orders) and even Malaysian brand Naza with 154 orders.

Wow, there's people out there trying to stimulate the economy or else they're not planning ahead.

Also interesting that Proton was so high on the bookings. To beat out those established manufacturers so convincingly is quite a feat; hopefully they don't pull a Hundyai and mess up!

WHat did Hyundai do wrong?

Heres a few new models to peruse, new for 2009 / 2552. I love the new Lotus but the roads here are just too bad. Shame really. I wonder what she would cost here. The Nissan GTR also looks the biz
