An Indian tourist, Mr. Raj Kumar, aged 39, recently paid a visit to the Pattaya Police

Station to report that a pick pocketing ladyboy had relieved him of his wallet as he was walking along Beach Road in the early hours of the morning.

He explained to the officers, that as he was walking back to his hotel, with a fellow Indian friend, they were approached by two ladyboys in front of Soi 10, just 500 metres from the police station.

The two ladyboys approached them in an ‘all–too–friendly’ manner, kissing, rubbing and hugging them, and offering cheap casual romance. They declined the offer and the two walked off into the distance. It was at this stage that Mr. Raj, discovered the absence of his wallet which contained a hundred US dollars, a thousand baht and 600

Ruppees. He believed that the wallet had been in his pocket before the encounter with the ladyboys.

The police filed a report and distributed a description of the two suspects to fellow officers, however, they were nowhere to be found. The tourist was able to look through mug shots of past arrested ladyboys and it is hoped that the two muggers will be brought to justice in the near future, as they are helping to destroy the image of Pattaya.

I know it's a slow 'news week' maybe it's because there is no body left in town.

It would be interesting to find out what percent of reported crimes involve lady boys vs other news though. I suspect the proportion is quite high.

Personally, I think it would be more interesting to know what percentage of unreported crimes involve lady boys. For obvious reasons, I suspect the percentage would be very high.
