Briton In Red Shirt Demonstration Regrets Video Arson Gibe

I think he's making a prediction Simon. :)

This made me laugh though:

"I object to staying in a jail cell like a criminal with rapists and murderers when I have not been accused of anything," Purcell told the court.

Presumably, seeing as he's on remand they are not actually rapists and murderers quite yet? Sorry- I'm being naive again. :D

No, Slip, he isn't. Read his post again. He's making a recommendation. :D

Anti-red propagandists of Thailand unite: You have nothing to lose except your cheap housemaids and gardeners. :D

To which I would add "Pro red propagandists - how could you leave your own natonal nazi party behind? Go back to your Mein Kampf boys" Because the type of movement the reds were trying to develop (not the masses, the leaders) seems closer to National Socialism than anything else we have seen. A huge shame for Thailand where people seem to be so easily manipulated, including the expat kwais.

Equating the red shirts with Hitler, the Nazis and the Germany of the 30's is pretty good actually.

Quite a stretch.

No doubt their leaders are planning to annex Cambodia and then take over the world..................

Do you view Abhisit as Churchill ??

Love it !!!

If Khun Nelson is such a great man and president, why was he arrested and convicted, and sentenced to LIFE in prison? He actually also did serve 27 years in prison (not a fake conviction to fool the public).

If you say that he is a bad man, are you saying that South African judges are stupid? That they cannot tell a good man from a bad man, so much so as to to sentence him life.

If you say that he is a bad man, are you saying that the people of South Arican are so stupid that the vote a criminal as president, and the world are so stupid, that say he is a hero?

Or does a WHITE people government has the right to sentence anyone they don't like to LIFE imprisonment, and actually it can be done legally?

He is a happy man.

But has either of them been found guilty of any criminal charges yet? Other than your well-known extreme right wing personal prejudices, you are handing down your sentence based on what?

People giving an opinion is not allowed and is extreme right wing?

This quote is one for the books...perfect to pull out in a few weeks when you or your fellow brothers do the same thing you now complain about...as double-standard surely is something you hate.

I make the connection on one basis only. First of all I said the leadership, not the masses. The basis on which I say this is because of the method of their mass psychology which paralleled that used by the early national socialist movement. The issue here is that Hitler made it quite clear in Mein Kampf that you would not win the masses over through 'argumentation' but rather through the use of emotional manipulation. Yes, I feel sorry for the ordinary folk who were conned into this movement through these methods, but the warning is here is that if you unleash these kind of emotions, then the consequences for any community are horrendous - just look at what Hitler unleashed. And in spite of the overwhelming evidence that show the leadership to have organised something that went far beyond an acceptable form of demonstration, the manipulated masses continue to be in denial. It pains me to see those few westerners support the red position - I rather suspect that these are the types that would support neo-nazi movements in their own countries.

Oh dear Rucharee. Someone is trying to compare chalk with cheese here. The political situation that Nelson Mandella faced was so different from the Thai experience. The world as a whole found apartheid a vile component of politics and the anti-apartheid movement was based on a just and humane cause. There was no such cause in the recent red battle. Here in Thailand we are faced with one individual who appears to have some deep personal/mental issues with enough money to try and bring down a government on the basis of untruths and so on.

Well you now confirm what my wife has told me, in that the Thai education system does not offer it's students a very robust and comprehensive history program. I assume from your name you are Thai!

Briton in court over Thailand riots

17 June 2010

A Briton shouted abuse about Thailand's prime minister when he appeared in court charged over recent anti-government riots.

Kent-born Jeff Savage and Australian Conor Purcell, who joined Thailand's anti-government protests, have been charged with inciting violence and committing other crimes that could lead to two years in prison.

Both men denied the charges, which allege they violated an emergency decree imposed during the two-month protests.

Inciting violence and violate emergency decree - I'd find it hard to deny both of those if I were them

More news on the Two Stooges. Looks like a few weeks in the monkey house has calmed them down a bit,

The less-then-fully-cultured aspect of his personality have resurfaced from these various news reports:

Briton Jeff Savage, 48, screamed abusive comments about Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva as he was led past reporters, calling him "a murderer" and insulting Abhisit's wife.
