Can someone compare/contrast the various packages, please? I had Indy for a number of years until the international throughput was less than a bad joke. I currently have a 3Mb Premier plan. My understanding is that the Premier plan has a lower contention ratio and priority access to the international bandwidth.

My guess is that "3BB Indy Plus" is the old Indy with an upgraded (1Mb) upload rate, but still the abysmal contention rations and international bandwith, and maybe some free time on 3BB WiFi hotspots?

What the heck is "3BB Pro"? It's cheaper than Premier -- is it merely an extension of the "Indy Plus" plans?

I think as you mentioned that the Pro Plans are just an extension (speed wise) of the Indy Plus plans. The Pro Plans says they are for "medium" international use. The Premier plans says they are for those that "emphasis" use of international access...I guess this means faster international access. Sounds like Premier provides the fastest international access/lowest contention ratio.

i believe you are spot on.

I saw a list of contention ratios somewhere, perhaps on their website. On that they claimed 1:20 for pro and 1:50 for Indy, a pretty big difference. Premier wasn't much better than pro but can't remember what it was at. Of course i am sure all this is subject to change so who knows...

Btw I have the 10Mbit pro, international speeds are fine. They seem to cheat on speediest so not sure what they are but i certainly get 1MB/s for many - most - downloads.

Whats odd is I have the 3BB 3Mbit.. Paying the 1090 fee..

Yet my modem connects at >3072.. I dont check the modem religiously but I think I have even had >4000 sometimes.

Yep, I have the same package. Totally happy with it and same results.
