Featured Replies

last time i went to pantip , the shop tell me as i have a sound into the mother board i can copy tape sound into hard drive without a sound card?

i try no incoming sound after i plug the tape machine !

I think i need a sound card audio , but not 100 % sure ...

I've just been doing exactly what you want. With a built in soundcard. So no, you probably don't need another sound card.

You need some software and some set up of your sound card inputs.

Try Silent Bob for a start. http://www.silent-bob.de/en/

Set up you sound card to use the 'line-in' socket. Look in :- volume control, options, properties, recording controls. For the selector and level control.

Once you've got your tape in the PC you will probably need to clean it up a bit to get rid of the tape hiss, I use Sound Laundry, but it's not free, a trip to pantip may get you a copy though.

Good luck.

If you have inbuild sound, you do not need a sound card. You need to select the input source as "Line in". you can do this from the windows volume control, under the "recording" settings.
