Just took off the stock IRC Roadwinner tyres so if anyones interested they are yours for 3000baht inc delivery, completely unused.

Front 110/70-17

Rear 140/70-17

3000 baht for a pair of IRCs, you're optimistic !

Always an optimist! Sold over a week ago, they are close to 4000baht for the pair if brand new and these were completely unused so he got a good deal!

I think everybody loves their own colour. Probably some psychological aspect going on there. :D

I had a choice and jumped at the black one. But I always loved dark looking bikes. Can't wait to get it all black, rims included. :)

Ah well now, there's a point.

But I bet your all black would look super cool flanked by a couple of red outriders :D

btw, interesting to see that in five months the 250 thread has overtaken the 4 year long 150 thread already.

Oh very clever  but do you see how they just couldn't resist going for full on red... ah those designers know a thing or two :whistling:

Btw... at 5,500km am I about to overtake your record breaking mileage or "kilometerage"...

Mind you, the first real pictures were much nicer, look at all that dark-knightness. Mmmm dark and sultry and light enough to fling around while riding it hard. What could be better. :)

OK. You win. I mean that's got to be better than some brazen red hot slut pumping away beneath you :D

Lucky the 900k Nakhon Thai trip's on hold or I'd be overdue my next service :whistling:

ALL the color variations so far have been good, and everyone has their personal preference. Me? I'm going for the 2 tone silver/gray. Looks like the "Knight in Shining Armour" put it on his horse to protect the much loved steed!

About the color. Due my bike was at the garage and i was quite busy my project is delayed but hopefully i will manage to get further this weekend. New blinkers and back piece waiting at home already. Waiting for the foil shop to confirm appointment.

btw. since i got it back from APHonda no more knockings or any strange sounds runs nice and smooth.

@Kernow what about your "knocking" problem?

Lol. That's exactly what put me off it. I'll be waiting several months for the black one :( Suits me actually as I'll have time to save up for accessories.

It's kind of funny, actually. My wife loves the red, but since I was born on a Monday, according to her DEEPLY INGRAINED Buddhist beliefs, red is a bad luck color for me.

She likes the all black, as well as black/silver, but says THIS YEAR is not a good year for me to buy black. More of the above. haha

She loves the silver/gray, saying it is a "neutral color" that would be good for me.

As for me, any of them would be fine, I like them all, but after seeing the silver/gray, that would be my color of choice for personal reasons.

i received an official email stating that they will confirm an Engineer visit for early March. I think an email will be order later today...keep the pressure on! The noise hasn't got better or worse at this point and i'm still adding 500km a week.

i was thinking about black too. but red it was so.... i just couldn`t wait and red is fine too.

what i´m not soooo sure about are the silver painted parts.... i couldn´t find a all red pic, but the black one shows it as well.

if i can´t find a better colour mod, my bike will be red only

Went to test drive the 250 today. Was very impressed with the power and the handling of the bike.

I'd always thought that the 150 was the perfect bike for Bangkok but now I'm thinking this is.

I test drove it during rush hour and so had an opportunity to follow the sonics weaving between the traffic and was pleasantly surprised at how well it managed. I know there's a slight increase in width but it was hardly noticable and the bike was almost as easy to twist around. The ABS seemed very effective though I think it would definitely from some better tyres.

The power was definitely noticable but I was suprised at how well it handled the lower speeds. If anything it seemed to like being driven around in first and second more than the old 150.

also a nice red theme

thank´s a lot guys. they both look great with the black rims.

has anyone taken his bike to k-speed yet? i´d realy like to know if that´s true with the 20% extra power

Quick note:

Got an answer back from FastCorner. They still don't have K&N air filters for new 150 or 250 yet.

Anyone know who might have them?

There's a fairly simple search facility on the K&N website. http://www.knfilters.com/search/appsearch.aspx

From looking at that it would seem they don't even exist yet but I guess you'd have to contact them direct to know for sure.

One thing is for sure, if they aren't on the website yet I can't imagine that they would have already been shipped to Thailand.

One guy did. Wasn't happy. Had to paint it again himself, and said the work was very rough. Don't think it even fitted on correctly and he had to take it back.

20% better performance by gutting the exhaust = nonsense.

Of course they could spend 600b to dyno it and prove their magic 2500thb exhaust recipe, and thus get every person with a CBR250 queuing up with cash in hand, but alas, they don't.

Technically it's about 2000 or so. But yes why not. 600 for the baseline , 600 for the exhaust, 600 for the exhaust plus filter etc...etc.

Even if we call it 5000 for the day........No one seems to.

I can only surmise that either none of the stuff works or they don't want to give any potential competition a benchmark.

Thai suppliers publish shaky videos of speedo readings or speedos of bikes being revved on the stand, At least that is what they do for PCX.

There is even one video entitled "140 kph PCX". Simply a guy on a bike with a huge exhaust riding up to and parking outside a shophouse.laugh.gif

Yes, stock dyno exists already, as they're advertising that simply changing to their pipe (nothing else inc.) gives 20%, one simple dyno with that pipe should show their '20%'.

Personally I'm waiting until someone somewhere in the world does what you say with dyno results for each stage of a complete system change. Then I'm going to move for that if it looks good. With the bike being global, hopefully in a year there should be professional pipes, airfilters and ECUs specially for the 250, with real life professional feedback.

Not just these local Thai cowboys and their 2,500b magic pipe dust.

Maybe it does give 20% more? Noise! Does the info actually say power I wonder ? laugh.gif
