Oxford United!!  :o

My word you have some guts to admit that Brit. my team are Reading, standing for the first time in their 110 year history top of the Championship league, yet it seems like only yesterday that we were in the same divisions.

still being from Oxford I have a soft spot for them and remember well the days of Aldridge , Houghton, Beating Man Utd 2-0 in the League cup, WINNING the MILK CUPjumpers for goalposts, ooh yessss those were the days. Jeremy Charles used to be my next door neighbor!

Man City  :D  It was my dad's fault but what can you do. Once your team has been chosen for you, that's it for life. I'll never forgive him for the bloody misery he's caused me.  :o But i'll do excactly the same to my kids  :D

That could be another point, who still supports the same team now, as their father made them support  :D

TOP OF THE PREMIERSHIP as I write Bo, Stuart Pearce is gonna be a fantastic Manager, and I hope the next manager of England (sorry for your expected loss)

All the family are West Ham (apart from my Dad who's Spurs) so I have had The hammers drummed into me but although I'm over the moon that they are back in the premiership i have to say that i've followed Man U for the past 15 years or so.

Can't wait to see Chelsea and Arsenal get stuffed this season. :o

Thaipauly - well the Yellows are small in comparison to the big clubs however proved a point many a year ago when they did win the milk cup aka coca cola cup. Mind you sometimes small can beat the big clubs.

Yeah, top of the league and over the moon. Got about another 3 hours and then we'll be knocked off by Chelsea or someone but it was good while it lasted :D

As for Pearcey, top man and excellent motivator. He's still a novice at Managing but there's lots of potential. We'll have him for while yet though.

As a kid often went to watch Liverpool and Tranmere Rovers. Never supported them though.

Used to support Man City (days of Frannie Lee, Bell, Summerbee) in the late 60's and early 70's.

Lost interest in football when I discovered women and bikes.

1999-present. An LFC armchair supporter thanks to a Thai gf.

Will consider transfering my support to another premiership club if a good offer comes along.

Gazza, you can't do that mate. It's in the blood and not to be toyed with. Sorry buddy, you used to support Man City and so your stuck with it. You might think you support someone else but your just in denial. "City till i die" is our motto. :o:D:D And there's no getting away from it

Harry Hacker, there are 2 CAFCs, Charlton Athletic and Crewe Alexandra.

Personally I am a big Charlton fan, third in the Premiership with a 100% record. Great start

Mr Janglies, you could very well be right mate. I looked in my wardrobe just before and most of my shirts are........light blue. Jing Jing.

I thought it was just my feminine side trying to get out but I now see that it could mean something much deeper. Subliminal subconscious messages from childhood memories perhaps? :D

Now this IS unexpected... myself along with you two make us three U's suppoertes in the same forum: that can't happen too often!

Winning the Milk Cup was undoubtably a great achievement, and was the first season of 3 in the top flight. And I remember we beat Arsenal 3-0 on the final day of that Milk Cup season to stay up!

Different story now with Kassam doing his level-best to ruin the club. Still only 3 stands at the stadium...

Anyone remember that funny scene from the movie "Eurotrip?", with the British Soccer Holigans? :o

Leeds United.

I've been a fan ever since my dad bought me a leeds football kit for my fourth birthday 37 (count em) years ago. Good times and bad times - it's been a roller-coaster ride.

So how do u keep up with Leeds as they have been relegated so do u still watch em play?

With great difficulty Shivek. Occasionally Championship games are shown on the South African version of Star Sports which can be seen in a couple of bars around town - Londoner Bar has it, and so too does The Office on Suk 33. If you get really lucky, you might catch a Leeds game on that. I saw them get whipped by Wigan last season and I'm told they were on a few weeks ago also.

Easy to keep relatively up to date on the web though. I listen to most of their games live on the BBC Radio Leeds webcasts.

When I lived in the UK, I was based in Norwich and London. But that didnt stop me going to Elland Road for every home game as a season-ticket holder. I'll be in the UK for a couple of weeks later this year, and have already got my tickets for two games sorted out.

As someone else said on this thread. It gets in your blood. My support for Leeds isn't optional - it's in my blood now.

Yeah, I totally agree with that 100%. You don't really choose the team you support, it chooses you. I never conciously decided I was going to support Newcastle, it just gets a hold of you and doesn't let go, and I wouldn't have it any other way :o
