Hmm, rather a specialist beastie.

Start off talking to one of the photo-shops in MBK. There are a couple on the ground floor that handle semi-pro equipment, they speak decent English and may be able to point you in the right direction.

Take a leaflet / spec print or similar of the item you want, a picture speaks a thousand words.

Let me know if you find a supplier, it's something I've considered in the past, maybe now is the time.

I know there is a professional company in BKK who possess some of the best tools for such purposes. It is Horizon AV and you may contact Mr Phumet. He speaks and writes English.

Alternatively, supposed I buy from US or nearest distributor (probably Singapore or Indonesia), will it be charged for customs? I'm asking this because I was 'robed' almost 5000 Baht for 3 boxes of personal belongings (clothes, kitchenware) by Thai customs sent by DHL when moving here few weeks ago!
